As an ADC, How do I counterplay Annie's Flash R, other than staying out of her range.

Guys shes easy enough to beat in lane, but during team fights......

Lets just say that her Flash R really is strong.

Can anyone please help me by giving me tips on how to counterplay/ avoid the flash R combo. As a midgame/lategame team fight , shes usually on top of me real quick. Anything i can do about that, besides buying MR and staying the hell away?

Thanks

Banshee's, GA, you flash out of it, better positioning

Annie's flash ult has no counterplay to it. You have to counterbuild it. You're going to get hit by it, no matter what, so you need to build an item or 2 that will soften the blow. I recommend Banshee's veil, which will force her to have to pop it with the stun spell if she isn't playing around it properly. Mercurial Scimitar is another good item if you're quick enough on the draw to cleanse the stun and start firing back at her. The MR it gives you will reduce the damage as it is, and the life steal will start giving you effective bulk against her follow up.

Just a couple suggestions

besides buying MR and staying the hell away

Those are actually your two options. What, did you think there's a magic button you press on your keyboard that allows you to not take damage? If Annie is fed you buy item 3156 or item 3139 .

item 3140

Stay way back in teamfights until she blows her stun. She can't fight as long as she's holding it, she's too squishy to tank your frontline trying to rush you, and if she flashes for you and misses, your team will instagib her.

It's usually pretty telegraphed, but if you're really having trouble, get QSS. When she flashes on you with max range Tibbers, QSS the stun and walk out of range of her other spells. Banshee's Veil may work, but even if it blocks her ult, her Q-W-Thunderlords may kill you anyway.

Normally you can see her flash ult coming from a mile away and flash her flash. Or you could play ez and just blink out of it. Just make sure you're helping your support keep areas warded when you're setting up for fights.

GET A QSS

You don't. Even assassins have trouble dealing with Annie. If you dont either outrange her or arent tanky you lose. Wait until she blows the stun.

Banshees, GA, Flash, Sivir, and stop dismissing the two most valid options of MR and Range. You have two nice ad items with MR, mercurial and maw, and you can buy mr boots, phantom dancer, deaths dance etc, nothing stopping you from doing it. You wouldn't dismiss people saying the counter to Garen/Darius/Illaoi is staying away from them, what the hell makes that any different from staying away from Annie?

P.S. position yourself so she can't get to you without going through your team and dying first.

Honestly it has more to do with your positioning and if she knows she won't be punished heavily for diving you out of the blue. Getting a banshee's and/or qss can mitigate her stun and giving you some mr stats so you can survive the initial combo and react accordingly. I also recommend reading her movements and the minute it changes even a little bit, back off to the safety of teammates so she'll either think twice or both her and whoever follows up with her can be punished. She is not a champ to frontline against. Rapid fire cannon could also be used so you have a little extra range to be safe but that's just something to test.
