Can we get the old Hurricane back?

You say you want to assist the whole "on-hit-build" idea, but that change you made to the old Hurricane only took away from that.

If you're not one of those old-school hipsters, the old Hurricane just simply gave 70% Attack Speed, and the bolts would deal a whole 10 (+50% AD) (+On-hit-effects) damage, but with the inability to crit.

You know how we have both the Ravenous Hydra and the Titanic Hydra? You can't stack them, but they both provide different passives to fit different niches (even though pretty much everyone takes Titanic Hydra since it's broken ass bullshit). We could do that to the Hurricanes!

We can just bring back the old one, but with a different name!

Billy Bob's Hurricane - 2900 Gold Recipe: Recurve Bow + Dagger + Recurve Bow + 600 Gold Stats: 70% Attack Speed UNIQUE Passive - Wind's Fury: When basic attacking, bolts are fired at up to 2 enemies near the target, each dealing 10 + 65% AD physical damage. Bolts can apply on-hit effects.

Is that so hard?

Also, you should give it 65% AD scaling instead of 50%, so it can keep up with the buff and indirect nerfs you gave Runaan's (x1.6 increased scaling with buff, and x0.8 scaling from IE "nerf")

God I miss old Hurricane. Legit felt depressed when the day came when they changed it into a Crit item. But as for your idea to make into 2 items that you'd have to choose, I agree and really like that. I can actually see Riot doing this potentially not that they are thinking about the item in particular right now.

Well no, it's issue was that it was incredibly niche as it couldn't crit then.

The only champions I remember actively building the item were Teemo Kayle, and Kalista

In the cases of the first two it's because they had the on hit damage to support it, and on the third it was because she built BOTRK+she needed to stack spears

yea. so how would old hurricane be now a ok item? Kalista can stack with current hurricane her spears to and is ok with ahving crit too. She is not an onhit champion but builds a lot of ad. andTeemo and Kayle use ap builds and don't seme they are lacking at item options. They can use current runans quite good too but how op suggested a hurricane item with 65% ad scaling if these 2 just build rageblade and maybe gunblade as ad? opther option would be Ashe bu it already was realy niche and reworked ashe also works good with critchance. there is realy no reason to introduce this item back cause any ad user can crit and any ap user has no ad scalings as well as if they autoattack crit can be used too.

Well for one, I think now that every champion has an opportunity to break the attack speed cap with Hail and Lethal Tempo, on hit builds could be very useful. It's just that the speed cap breaking of these runes almost always goes unused because of how hard it is to get enough attack speed for 2.5 AS. A single item with 70% AS would be worth it.

well maybe the reason riot could introduce attackspeed caping runes is that there are limits to champion kits and items. after all they removed 5.0 as from KogMaw for a reason. well you can get 50%as from item 3115 , item 1419 and item 3384 . and item 3124 gives 25% + 48% as.

Edit: i remembered that if you realy just wanna have as (regardless if this wish even should be followed), i believe that instead of making a second version of ruans riot should just reintroduce Zephyr. People didn'tbuy this item cause the cap or as 6 items as replacement of boots and now that as cap can be overtuned and with ie there is realy no need anymore for tripple zeal as replacement for boots zephyr could have a place (again if riot thinks it is balancable).

ITT: no one remembers how AoE on-hit with no wasted stats couldn't be allowed to be strong, so it was kept as a terrible noob trap item until it got a bunch of wasted stats. It is now marginally acceptable. Reverting it would make about as much sense as reverting Urgot's Q.

Runaan's is my favourite item in the game so i'm all for it.

I had mixed feelings about the change, it was sort of a nerf for Teemo Kayle but i could finally build it on Jinx Twitch without being called a troll/noob. So i'd love to see the old runaans back, but if it means losing the current one i'd rather not.

Then we dont Hydra them and let them stack, target 5 targets per auto total and I break out my Ashe with the tommy and go, im down.

For real though I dont mind the Idea, It probably wouldnt be a full revert but it would be nice seeing another Marksman item that adds variety instead of more melee only items or ranged reduced items (And for the record im not stating that they arent needed but variety is nice.)

  1. you were solo carrying on a long range ADC

70% attackspeed would be too OP on some champs these days, and there are champs who need the current one much more than the previous users did the old one.

Current Kog, kai sa and vayne would all be insane with that available as a second item, kayle might be too.

I'm pretty sure Runaan's hurricane can serve both builds. The tuning levers are already there. All that really matters is the numbers and the question of how well a champion can make use of the extra bolts (or how many stacked-up melee champions are you going to be fighting).

I think Runaan's is a bit weak right now (on average), but I'm confident that if you see three front-line tanks on the enemy team it will be a good purchase regardless of whether you're going on-hit or crit.

I would like it to be something like this:

Runaan's Hurricane

Materials:

  • Recurve Bow
  • Endless Magazine
  • 1100 Gold (3200 total)

Stats:

  • +35 % attack speed
  • +20 attack damage
  • +20 on-hit physical damage
  • +7% Movement speed
  • UNIQUE, Passive - Quantity over Quality: If you have 0% crit chance you gain an additional 35% attack speed and when basic attacking, bolts are fired at up to 2 enemies near the target, each dealing 40% AD physical damage and applying on-hit effects.
  • UNIQUE, Passive - Quality over Quantity: If you have any crit chance you gain an additional 20% Crit chance and +10% armor penetration.

Btw "Endless Magazine" is just another item I thought of, nothing special and pretty similar to Caulfield's to be honest just more usefull for ADCs. Dont mind it.

I really dont want on hits to become cancer.

ITs bad enough they get double on hits and can already hit more than one person, I dont want even more optimization
