So I was playing a ranked game as Udyr, and the enemy jungler was like,

"This udyr must have a sad life" "Caught me red-handed" "1400 games and still silver? Wtf?" "ELO hell OP" "Nah it's all you, anyone else would be Diamond by now"

He did alright, but he lost because I kept backdooring inhibs and stomping the absolute shit out of the rest of his team.

And in champ select, I was like

"Admit ELO hell is real or blame yourself for that loss"

and he's like

"ok fine ELO hell is real"

i just got g5 right now btw and my opinion hasn't changed that climbing is 100% luck-based

Isn't 1400 games evidence that it's not luck based though?

If game outcomes were random instead of biased in favour of player skill, you'd expect skill independent streaks to result in promotions to X5 in far fewer games.

Listen bud, I just got through 1400 games and finally made Gold 5. There's no way I actually improved over 700 hours thrown at the game it's gotta be 100% luck.
