Any Vi mains got a detailed guide or some really helpful build advice?

No matter how much I try I can not do well with this champion despite how much I love her (have all but 1 of her skins)

I never know what rune to take. I get told eletrocute/aftershock/conq etc. I get she's versatile with that but I also see varying builds as well and I can never get a lock on what is essential.

Whenever I play her after I get trinity force I have no idea what to build and just go full tank. Usually completing my jungle item last because I can never tell if red or green are better.

I would also use damagex2 and health as my stat picks (the things below your secondary runes) and I usually go red for my 2nd rune path because I'm not sure which is best.

I'm really struggling with playing her but I really want to be good with her. I know it takes time and effort to get a feel for a champ and how my playstyle is (Took me awhile before I was able to do consistently well with Shaco when I mained him) but I really don't have much to go on with her because again, i'm usually feeding with her.

I also see people taking her top lane and dominating and i've always wanted to use her top but with champs like darius and renekton it seems like Suicide but somehow people make it work even vs them.

Looking for some serious vi players to give me some guidance. I could make pre-rework Urgot work more consistently than I can with Vi

Generally the champion sucks Your build is right tho , it's always tri force then tank items

Uhh yeah, there's not really a one size fits all guide to Vi because she's versatile as fuck.

Rather than exploring Vi to any significant depth (because that discussion is both wider and deeper than a newer player to her should learn right off the bat), how would you describe your play style on her? The flip side to Vi's versatility is that you can also cater her strengths to your play style, so it may be better to start there.

Play Sett instead.
When it comes to Vi...there's no one way to play her. But, I'd say I get rekt most often by the ones that go Electrocute and know how to animation cancel her combos. Q/Auto/E reset immediately or Ult/Auto/E reset/Q/auto/E reset.

The main factor with Vi right now (at least, the kind that destroys me) is honestly not to consider her as a bruiser anymore. Consider her more like a diver. Expect to not get out unless you can pretty much explode someone and get back to your team.

Used to main Vi. Her standard build is Red Jungle item (she scales pretty well with AD and the extra CDR really helps)

Triforce if they have mostly squishies and you want to burst down a high priority target, Black cleaver if they have a lot of bulk. After that is when you get a lot of choices to make, but the golden rule is build tank, or if you're very ahead, build Hybrid.

item 3742 is very good with all the roaming you'll be doing.
item 3143 Is the best choice if they have a fed ADC or two+ champs that rely on crit damage. The slow is potentially teamwide if you can time it wit your engage. item 3193 item 3053 combo is AMAZING when you ult into their team.

item 3194 item 3001 Are your go-to MR items but item 3156 is really good too if you're ahead.

You should be nonstop ganking as Vi because she is a champ that falls off late-game.

Theres actually a reddit vi mains that im in that helps me out when i have issues with things so check that out I personally go hob-triforce for squishies and conq-sanguine's blade for long drawn out fights if we need a tank I will go after shock and then build pure tank after tri force

Generally there's two ways to play jungle Vi:

You get fed early and build tons of damage. You are pretty much a squishy assassin. In this case, get a lot of AD. Probably won't be the case with the current jungle, but it can happen. if it does happen, you should try to hard carry and focus objectives. You'll be blown up easier than normal.
You get warriors, triforce, and bruiser items, like either steak gauge or GA. Depending on the site, green stone or yellow stone won't hurt your win rate too much as long as you grab blue smite. You will want to work a little bit more AD into your build if you don't go warrior.

Vi's going to have trouble ganking pre-six if your lanes don't have CC so you want to farm up and take dragons as you can until then and gank whenever your ult is up. Most people level Q first. You've got 5 main keystone options: PtA, conq, aftershock, HoB, or electrocute.

No idea on how top Vi works. She was originally meant for top but she worked out so well as a jungler every played her there.

I remember going Hail of Blades with some defensive things to capitalize on the....W? W...pretty sure it was that armor crack thing, but I pretty much tried to make it so I proc'd it then did as much damage in that span of time since my job was getting through the front door.

My build would be something like item 1400 or item 1401 followed by item 3078 item 3748 item 3111 item 3143 or something like that. Don't remember what I built because usually game never went on long enough for me to get past the Triforce. Either my lanes stomped or we had a lead and suddenly game over as they rushed a lane and took everything while two of my mates were dead.
