Riot logic. Though, the nerfs aren't all that significant. They are just giving swain incentive to put ranks into the snare and increasing Brand's W mana cost. I'm way more confused as to why they are nerfing Soraka so heavily when she hasn't been picked competitively in forever.

Swain only has a high win rate because of his early-mid game anyway. His late game is awful. Would rather see him rescaled with better AP ratios, particularly on his ult, and lower base damages, so his early-mid game is a bit more manageable, but his late game is actually decent. The shorter average game times caused by the pre-season changes increased his win rate because of his strong early-mid game.

Except that Swain's late game is one of the strongest in the game. The thing about Swain is that his early game pre-6 is amazingly awful, but if he snowballs, he snowballs super hard.

As a Swain main, I don't like the nerf, but I understand where it's coming from, considering the power of his late game.

It's his early-mid game that's strong; His win rate has a huge drop after ~30 minutes, and pre-25 minutes, it's among the highest in the game.

Wait, from what I saw DFT is getting buffed. 6 damage over 1.5 second < 8 damage over 1

Brand just got the standard 20 mana treatment on one spell. Swain's root now starts a 1 second and scales with rank up to 2. Which was kinda needed cause his root is stupidly strong in laning phase anyway.

His snare is 18secs CD level 1. Swain is a low range casterwhen he snare at max range he need to walk up to you before doing anything. Lux and morgana have snare for 2 sec too with higher ratio and lower CD. Swain W is also easy to dodge if you move properly. Even if you are in the center of his W, you can juste walk out of it.

So i dont understand the nerf at all. Should just nerf DFT on DoT abilities instead.
