PSA: stop fkin trying to fight your lane opponent when you are 2 levels and 5 kills down.

Didn't think I had to say this to high gold/plat players, but apparently this is not well understood. If you attempt to fight your laning opponent after going 0/5 in lane and being 2 to 3 levels down, you will continue to feed. Stop. Learn how to play from behind, or stop queueing for ranked. You can't expect to win every matchup.

I think if you are 2 levels behind you should almost never fight them and 1 full level is usually pretty dangerous too.

A lot of silver players fight when levels behind, I don't think they understand or respect the base stat differentials and it why they feed.

Ya, but I'm in plat (high gold mmr atm due to an unlucky streak with lots of players like the ones described above). I thought basic principle of laning would be pretty much universally understood at this point. Worst part for me is that I main jg, so I'm usually flamed when this happens.

I will say, however, sometimes players that play specific champions have a hard time not fighting or at least trying to not fight when they are behind.

For example if Renekton or Leblanc get behind early they are pretty much useless champions by the mid game. I think a lot of players that main early game champions completely understand that they are behind and try to make plays to bring themselves back into the game.

If they fail they fall further behind and that is usually when they start missing a lot of XP, CS, and are pushed out of lane.

The problem is that against competent players, leads in laning are typically not given up. In fact most plat or higher players know how to push a lead.

So what maybe worked in Gold to come back into a game will not work in platinum. And if the player is a one trick they are just stuck. I am not saying "they might not know better", all I am saying is that if you play a champion that must get kills to stay relevant in the game it will lead to more riskier play when you are behind.

It is one of the reasons I mostly play champions that scale pretty well and remain relevant throughout the game. I also play "safe" champions too that have a lot of tools in their kit to protect themselves.

The game that triggered this response featured an 0/5 ryze that kept trying to solo the ahri that was 3 levels up.

And this has nothing to do with gold vs plat, it has everything to do with basic moba concepts that are somehow absent in higher levels of play.

To be honest if your laning opponent is two levels and five kills up on you and they're playing something like Riven, Zed, Yasuo, LeBlanc, Renekton, Dr. Mundo (how did Mundo get that fed in lane tho lol), or Tryndamere they will probably just easily dive and kill you tbh. Though at that point it really is your fault, and it's exactly what you deserve.

Do not try to fight your laning opponent if they are even one kill up on you and your respective healths and minion waves are even, barring a few niche cases.

The game that triggered this response featured a ryze that would routinely die in the middle of the lane or even after chasing into the enemy jungle. In fact, he fell so far behind in level that the enemy jungler eventually outleveled him and started soloing him. It was pathetic.

But if you say that in-game, you get reported.

And banned, cuz criticism is somehow now considered toxic...
