Tear change makes no sense

In no way will this change stop the activity of spamming abilities just to stack, it just is going to make it stack faster. It's simply a buff to tear and all the champions who use it (some of whom are considered quite strong)

Why does it not make sense? It was intended to be a buff. Mind you, mana alone is not a combat stat and having more mana is a nice little change. The one that benefits the most from this would be ADC Ezreal, because mages do not even finish their tear item until way later.

Do you know what happens when tear items hit full stacks?

Ezreal is like the only champion in the game who could keep tear on cooldown while walking out to lane while still keeping a decently high mana pool and making it to lane in a reasonable amount of time and he keeps such a regular pattern of spellcasts while in lane that being able to get 3 stacks in a short period will be of virtually zero benefit. I would say that he will probably benefit the least from this change.

The change normalizes the stacking among champions a bit, so that they don't need to buff/nerf tear according to its current optimal-use champs that can spam like crazy.

It's going to be a big buff to the stacking speeds for Cassiopeia and Ryze, they were unable to keep the tear on cooldown while walking to lane and their trades involve so many rapid casts that they usually ended up with tons of 'wasted' spellcasts while the tear was on cooldown.

The only champions benefitting more than THE two premiere tear stackers are going to still be such terrible fits for the item that they won't consider it.

It's a start though. Better this change than nothing at all until the AP item overhaul.

Who builds Tear? I truly thought the only ones who built it were Ryze/Anivia/Karthus/Ezreal/Singed before rework to his passive. 5 champions that realistically built tear out of 130+. Everyone else built it as a joke item or to keep up rotations such as Sona because of her CD on her Ult passive + 45% CD makes her spammable and run out of mana fast.

Ryze and Cassiopeia are two very strong champions, Anivia is extremely powerful in solo queue, they don't need buffs.

No damage?

Seriously they crippled that champs solo que power, with good reason.

Ahh yea I forgot about the snake Lady. Hardly ever see her so forgot she was a thing.

Karthus has pretty insane win rates right now (53% in top and mid in plat+) source

That's not necessarily an indicator that he's blanket op, but he might become that with these changes. Wouldn't surprise me.

Yeah the point is that it’s supposed to be a buff to it and the champions that use it

A buff to meta dominating mid laners in pro play and some other extremely powerful solo queue champions?
