MR is actually slightly stronger now, all around. NMM costs 100 more gold, but also gives more MR.

They didn't reduce the power of early MR. They made it so that all MR items built out of Null Magic Mantle, which is easier to save up for than Negatron Cloak.

You guys act as if 220 gold is a lot to farm for, thats the difference in price between new mantle and negatron - but the difference in mr is 15 (negatron gave 40) and cowl lost 10 mr as well. Yes both banshees and SV still offer the same amount of MR but the cost difference isn't tht significant and as a result, guise and sorcs basically make your mantle go away, even though they are significantly more expensive (as it should be). If Cowl kept its same amount of MR (45) i wouldn't mind.

The thing is that it would harm some champions more then others It would disproportionately hurt champions who rely on base damages and magic pen as there are very few options for magic pen (not to mention even with the change it is still cheaper to buy magic resistance then it is to buy magic pen) Like Elise (well she used to), Zac (if built for some damage), Rumble
