And he's getting a huge nerf next patch on his Ultimate, which leads me into thinking this:

Why the fk has Rito made all this mess on botlane to open it to champs like Swain if they are gonna nerf them when they are strong bot? Seriously what's the point, because TP is also getting nerfs that are gonna hurt mages botlane that usually take it.

Is like they try to push at the same time to 2 opposite directions.

Yeah but a Rioter on Reddit said that they clearly want to only nerf the botlane Swain, they don't have a problem with solo lane Swain strenght.

They could nerf how his passive works when it's activated not from your E but from another ally CC since it's hard to land a Swain E but if you are with a support on lane that has easy CC it becomes opressive.

Looking at the link you provided, it seems they don't want to do that since it would feel "counter-intuitive".

When they do that, the right play for Swain would be to follow up his ally CC with his own E to get full benefit from his passive, with is another burden of knowledge for the Swain player, counter-intuitive and would actually not change much for experienced Swain players, since they would just do that (ally CC, so Swain E is guaranteed).

Actually they said that they wanted to do an overall nerf to him and they would also further nerf him again if hes still too strong bot lane with nerfs that impact his duo laning most (passive).
