Sion is the best example of why you don't fixe bugs without nerfs on Champions that are fine

without nerfing them

His bugs basically made his Q/E not working, if you fixed them how can you possibly think the champ won't end up busted when he had ~~53% win rate before you fixed them?

In the past, whenever riot fixed bugs that hindered champions by a lot, and the champions were already good they nerfed them in the same patch

Aria of Perseverance Aria of Perseverance Fixed a bug where Power Chord Diminuendo was not reducing the target's damage. Power Chord Diminuendo duration reduced to 3 seconds from 4.

Noxian Diplomacy Fixed a bug where the Bleed didn't do damage Bleed damage reduced to 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 from 18 / 36 / 54 / 72 / 90 Bleed AD ratio reduced to (+ 100% Bonus AD) from (+ 120% Bonus AD)

You fixe syndra bugs syndra had 46% win rate before that, nothing is wrong

You fixe Sion bugs Sion had a bloody 5% pick rate and ~~53% win rate before that he was already viable and strong with comet bullshit E poke

now, you need to nerf his E damage and possibly buff Q damage to make Sion more skilled

What was the bug? At least, what was the patch it was fixed so I can look it up for myself?

Sion's Q - Decimating Smash now correctly refunds its cooldown to 2 seconds when Sion is crowd-controlled during its cast

His E, had a chance to kill the minion it hit and thus instantly kill them instead of knocking them back and the chance was rather high, it happened like 20% of the times

Fixed a bug where the minion targeted by Sion's E - Roar of the Slayer was incorrectly not made invulnerable to minion attacks

The bug fix was actually because his Q CD reset wasn’t working if I recall.

Sion's Q - Decimating Smash now correctly refunds its cooldown to 2 seconds when Sion is crowd-controlled during its cast

but why

Ralanr1 votes

Because it’s supposed to do that? It was always intended as it helps make Sion a reasonable target to focus.

Ahristocats1 votes

it's also because sion's Q is the most unreliable spell in the universe

Idk, Sion R is another contender there. I do love all the display bugs with Sion Q though. If you go into a bush where Sion is charging his Q, you get two indicators. one where he went into the bush that you last saw, and one where he actually is. lol

Shouldnt a channeled spell go on full cd when you cancel it tho?

Hethalean1 votes

I don't think so. otherwise things like Fiddle W would be too hard to do anything about.

Again, it’s designed so that it draws more focus by being easy to deal with but at the same time coming up often enough that you have to stop it or avoid it.

It’s honestly rather clever.

Thanks. I do not know how I missed that listing.

The E bug appeared with the preseason patch. The Q CD bug appeared in 8.1. They only broke Sion's abilities during preseason and start of season, he legit just got back to how he was pre-7.22.
