Can someone teach me how to counterplay him? He just walks in and uses his click DoT then pillars and just chunks so hard. If I go in to poke half my health is gone. I just can't seem to win against him.

Are you talking about the support brands that rush sightstone mikaels and aegis (yeh ive never seen any do that either)

Or the onea that build all ap and out damage the rest of the team???

Hard engage with a decent early game carry or try to out sustain him with sona or raka, i dont think you would win a poke war against him.

Hopefully some nerfs will be inc to tone down his stun duration and overall damage.

I've only had to face it a few times (played it a few myself too), and laning was basically bait and dodging his Pillar by changing the direction you dodge every time (so he can't predict your easily), and not letting him sit in the bushes without vision (so you can see the Q coming).

Otherwise, if you can't win the lane don't try. Sometimes you just have to give in to a superior opponent so you don't feed them.

We're both Gold 2 Supports so don't just take my word for it. Play Supp Brand yourself to learn his strengths and weaknesses.

Go as a support with sustain to prevent accidently feeding him and his adc.

If you do not have the opportunity to counter pick him, hopefully you went as someone who can hard engage like leona or blitzcrank and get him before he gets you.

If you're the ADC, all you can do is dodge his stuff and back off when he moves forwards to use E on you (or have your Supp engage on him). You don't really have many options other than to go aggressive when he's blown his cooldowns and follow up on your support's aggression.
If you're the support, look for openings to all-in Brand especially after he's used abilities, if he misses his W he'll lack dmg, if he misses Q he won't have any CC. Best supps to play vs Brand are things like Blitz or Leona, Soraka can beat him through sheer sustain, Vel'Koz is decent too due to having longer range, if you land an E on him after level 6, you can just murder him with a full combo.

Well....

Q: Linear as fuck and easy to dodge skillshot - stand behind minions W: Delayed AOE ability on a somewhat long CD - Just use your mobility spell if ADC, If support it is difficult to avoid E: Very small range point and click spell - You're just too damn close to him so that is your fault Ult: Point and click spell that doesnt have much range - walk away from your ally and it fizzles out. It does the most damage when it bounces between 2 people, if it bounces between 3-5 then it does very little.

As a support: play hard engage/CC type champs. Brand supp will rarely get MR shred until late game, so build some MR and he is useless. AS ADC: some champs have a more difficult time avoiding his W like MF, Ashe, Urgot. Take one that has a dash and you will never be killed (unless enemy jungler dives you or you're terrible at avoiding telegraphed skillshots).
