Trynd should get a rework

Just build full damage and right click on everything, ult when you're about to die. Don't teamfight and just splitpush all game.

Doesn't seem like a very good design to me.

Fiora can do what he does but with more outplay, more counterplay, and more options on how to win the game.

Actually the counterplay to Trynd is one of Fiora's outplay options. CC. CC counters the hell out of trynd where Fiora players can outplay it. The do similar things differently.

You could argue that with a lot of champions man.. there are so many champions and Trynd is an old champion and Fiora was recently reworked.. Its like saying Kayle is bad at what she does simply because shes old.

I agree, give him more pizzazz and make his ult more realistic. I don't know, he takes 50% reduced damage, bleeds for all damage taken over 3 seconds after ult ends.

Well, the game was much simpler when Trynd came out which explains the simplicity of his kit. He is a bit dull to play and frustrating to play against, but CC comps do well into trynd so there is that.
