Thank you CertainlyT for replying to the front page Mordekaiser post. Repeatedly.

Yeah yeah, I'm praising CertainlyT. Oh no. Better crucify me right? Well I don't give a damn. I LIKE the new Mordekaiser, and I think everyone is being a bit harsh on him. Anyway, the post in question is this one here: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/uoXEEjAF-mordekaisers-fate He jumped right into the line of fire on this post, and explained himself and his changes to everyone as truthfully as he could. And he continued to speak even while under heavy fire from angry Mordekaiser fans. Am I saying he deserves immediate forgiveness for Mordekaiser? No. But he deserves credit where it is given. This is a man who seems to not be that afraid to jump right into a post and talk. And unlike a person like RiotRepertoire who is basically beloved by all of the Boards, CertainlyT goes into these posts most likely knowing he's willingly walking forward into a noose designed to strangle him. Keep up the controversial, but otherwise good work man.

I think it's great he responded to the changes. Finally.

But this new Mordekaiser is an awful butchering of the champion's identity and made him highly unbalanced while not fixing the problems they were reworking him for in the first place [binary gameplay, low counterplay, confused identity].

CertainlyT should not be praised for this rework. He's done the best with what he knows, I understand pleasing everyone isn't easy, but a screwup is still a screwup. And it's the seventh time in a row now he's designed/worked on a champ with too few weaknesses which was OP on release.

CT is great at designing interesting gimmicks and champs which are forgiving to unskilled players. He is also great at designing cluttered champion kits, champions with very few weaknesses, and champions which are frustrating to play against.

Better late than never but he should have paid more attention to the feedback and I hope he learns from his mistakes for the next time he's called to rework a Champion.

Idk, given how the backlash is a result of him not listening to PBE at all I don't think he deserves praises for apologising for the broken dishes when we had been telling him again and again to watch out in the first place. That just doesn't seem like a right thing to do.

We also shouldn't forget how he just gutted a champ mercilessly in the name of rework, shifting his identity into something so completely off the rail, as well as making him so binary and broken the rework might as well don't exist and it would have done the champ more good than harm.

White-knighting has a limit of effectiveness, there is a difference between defending something and fanboying something.

It's really about time he wakes and and realises that his "philosophy" is mostly nothing but total bollocks. He is a fan-fic man who happens to get a job in a script position, it doesn't mean that he would just suddenly start writing good stuff.

He needs to realise there is still a long way before him, and he should start by correcting his mistakes and NOT talking about why he thinks he isn't wrong.

EDIT: To CT's credit, he is quite innovative in terms of game mechanics, I'll definitely give him that. However other than that, this guy is a total fail. Yes this sounds extremely harsh but it's exactly what I feel towards this guy.

I don't agree with new Morde being likable because it's really mono dimensional. But yeah it's cool that designers are taking their time to explain what happens and talk with the community.

maybe certainlyT is that guy who listens to feedback after something is done rather then before to see how it goes

That's a terrible approach in doing things, not everything has an Undo button like in MS Word.

Imagine constructing a building only to listen to safety issue feedbacks and interior design suggestions after it's already done. So what, you gonna wreck it down and build it again? It's only 1 example but I am sure you get the idea.

a building and a game are 2 different things and he obviously would take a diff approach to diff situations
