I feel so cringy buying early zhonya's, cost so much and I'm not even sure if it's worth to buy it anymore. Rylai's cost 3200g, only thing you don't get the invulnerability, 400 health and the slow seems much better.. What do you think ? Buff zhonya's or lower the cost, maybe give it cdr since mages can't get the fuckin' 40% without sacrifising mpen and ap. If it had cdr, maybe I wouldn't feel so guilty spending all that $$$ on the item.
LynXerf3 votesZhonya's has needed this nerf since... well forever. It has always been the most OP item in the game, bar none. Mages could have so much damage, build a Zhonya's for cheap and become so hard to kill for the enemy team. Now they have to decide if they are willing to fork out a lot of gold for it. Boohoo. It's still a fantastic item, and the first thing I do when engaging a mage is see if they have Zhonya's, because it can still make or break an entire fight.
If you see this as a nerf to mages, then that's a separate discussion. My point is that as an AP item, it has always been the best item by a mile. Better than Rabaon's, better than Void Staff. Now it fits in with the rest of the inventory.

Strange that I didn't notice it... I did notice the armour and price changes with the preseason patch though. One change or the other would be enough but both combined make it a very bad purchase. For all those that have to rush it first against AD mids it's horrific.
