Marksmen are the opposite of their description in-game

Marksmen is the title of the class because the characters themselves are the marksmen in most cases. You don't have to be. You're controlling someone who knows how to land every shot, every time.

That's why champions like Ashe and Caitlin, who are supposed to be amazing shots, don't require you to fire skillshots as their main form of damage.

Compare that to Ezreal, who intentionally does not study magic and doesn't like to be in the League at all. He has the power, but you have to direct it towards a target. Or Lucian, who may be a great shot but is using pistols where others are using longer-range weapons.

The funny thing is... Why is a sniper like Caitlyn also a character that requires no aim? Jhin got it right in that aim actually matters on riots second sniper.

I literally explained that. She is a good shot. She does not require YOU the summoner to aim. She can do it herself.

Summoners and the league of legends aren't canon anymore in the lore. Hence game-play and lore don't necessarily interact in the way which you explained, anymore.

it all went out the window when they released Velkoz, the only champion past, current, and possibly future, to have his entire lore written in first person not third

You are the summoner. You control the character regardless. Hence the explanation.
