If seeing a champion makes you groan, they are OP or broken

Lets be honest. Seriously.

When you see say, Pantheon you think, okay he might be hard in lane but he can fall off later.

When you see Riven you think, okay shes annoying but pretty easy to burst down

When you see MasterYi Yasuo Darius you go, okay...uh they can get wrecked early and then still manage to slaughter your team while being very hard to kill. Shit. You KNOW they can become a problem do to they nature of their kits. Even if YOU play against them properly in lane, that has NOTHING to do with the chance of them getting into a team fight later and then ulting and killing everyone despite being behind. And you can't control that, because you can't control the rest of the team.

I feel like everyone just justifies certain champions because they can A)be countered or have counterplay and B) might not do as well at top level of play.

But the bulk of the game is not top level play. And any champions can be countered or have counterplay--that doesn't mean they aren't too strong or their kit isnt obnoxious. Some kits have an inherent unfairness in that. more so than other champions, their ability to recover is much higher than other champions due to how they can capitalize in team fights even when behind.

I don't think that's how it works I groan whenever I see a Garen because he's fucking annoying but I don't think he's broken

I groan whenever I see Braum, but that's for...

######ahem

...other reasons.

Jhin makes me groan. He's not op (most balanced spot he's been at in ages imo), he's just so goddamn speedy.

Everyone thinks different things. You think Riven is easier to kill than Darius, I think Darius is ten times easier to kill than riven.

THAT IS THE THING.

The problem is everyone here is unwilling to face up to the Reality and chose to downvote u.

In my lifetime I will not bother with trying to lane against Yasuo or Darius until their Rework. TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE.

Darius doesn't slaughter anything. That champion is complete garbage.

Shaco makes me groan not because he's broken but because a good shaco can ruin you in every way.

You're right, but the majority of players can learn new things and improve. You don't have to be Challenger to learn how to dodge Darius' Q, to bait out Yasuo's nado, to stop Pyke's ult, so on and so forth.

A surprisingly large amount of players combat every situation the exact same way and never change their tactics, then complain when they can't win 100% of the time.

The only champion in that list that makes me groan is Pantheon.

Every champion has something they do that is "OP" and a major part of the strategy in this game is picking a champ with an OP thing that does well against your opponent's OP thing, or, if you had an early pick, doing what you can to minimize the impact of their OP thing.

MasterYi You need hard CC to deal with Yi, unless you really get in his face early on to set him behind. Most people know this, and if they don't, they will. Yasuo Again, hard CC is key. Most matchups against Yasuo also hinge on the early game (Katarina in particular relies heavily on hitting her level 2 powerspike and if not, getting jungle pressure... and if not, well... rip.) Darius People need to avoid his outer Q. He does have a lot of damage, and the ability to completely turn a teamfight, but it really hinges on him getting a lead in lane and people not avoiding his outer Q. Without the heal he tends to die fairly quickly, and a lot of champions have the mobility to maneuver around him.

I see what you're getting at though, these are 3 champions that are VERY difficult to deal with when ahead, and are very good at punishing the entire enemy team for a single person's mistakes.
