It would seem a lot of people have incorrect information on what a "throw" is

A THROW is when you constantly dick around and eventually set yourself behind to the point the enemy catches up and wins, regardless of how hard you stomped early game.

What a lot of people experience yet for some reason call it throwing is when you get OUTSCALED.

If you are Pantheon Caitlyn Ahri Leona Shaco and you go vs Nasus Vayne Veigar Bard MasterYi

and see yourself losing the longer the game goes on you did not (probably) THROW the game you got OUTSCALED.

The enemy teams late game is better than yours it's as simple as that.

Another thing people don't seem to understand is TEAMFIGHTS ARE NOT THE ONLY WAY TO WIN

If you see yourself behind in the game DO NOT (unless your team comp is great in it) TEAMFIGHT. Pressure all of the lanes/objectives. Farm. Catch up. Get picks. etc. Do not go head first into a battle royal mid lane against the enemy team 20+ kills up on you. That's being stupid.

a throw is when you have the potential to win, and that win is clearly definied, like blow up vayne/veigar before the fight starts. but one or more persons ignores that chance, and does something else. like shaco goes and tries to 1v1 nasus top lane. thats a throw.

when in reality you had to 5v4 down the mid lane, have leona/ahri catch someone, and go all in at that moment.

but it doesnt matter, shaco threw by doing a stupid move. catch what im saying?

Eh, the outscale could still be a throw.

If you were winning the early game sufficiently hard, and you later got outscaled without making a huge "throw"ing move, you still probably threw. It's just that your "throw" was through inaction rather than through a poor action. By not actively winning when you had the chance, you gave them the opportunity to outscale that they should never have had.

Then they threw AND got outscaled.

In most cases if you are TRYING to win the game and you win hard early but can't it's probably because the enemy team is scaling harder making it more difficult. If on the other hand you are dicking around letting them stay in the game to raise your kda you flat out threw it
