Like holy shit, I'm used to him building full tank and doing no damage. I wasn't expecting him to rush spirit visage then melt me anyways while I was playing singed. He used to do so little damage, I could just run by him to farm, now he can melt me in seconds with his base damage alone while he takes absolutely no damage.

His abilities have lower base damage now.
However, his AD per level scaling has been increased, so his level 18 base AD is actually quite high.

I was not. I used to be able to completely ignore him and pretty much farm minions right on top of him because he did so little damage. Garen used to be an easy lane as singed, but now I feel like I can't even get near him.
Something is different, because garen has never done so much damage to me without an AD item.
Critmaster Garen1 votesnever lost a lane to a singed pre rework. i honestly didnt even bother with spirit visage. start longsword 3 posts and harass singed out of lane. come back with a hexdrinker, merc treads dunk him repeatedly.
thats how it always worked for me. im also used to running ignite.
most garens you faced might have ran 9/21 masteries, while this one went for 21/9 and more heavy into damage? dont know.
but in general garen shouldnt have a problem with singed. he cant even fling him without eating a q at the same time. that and garen can damage singed while moving parallel to him and staying out of the poison. its what always won me the lane vs singed.

And I have never lost a lane to a Garen as Singed, mainly for the exact same reason. He can't Q me without me flinging him towards my turret. Maybe I just had a tilted match, but something seemed very odd. He didn't have any more AD than usual, I didn't play the lane any different than usual, but it just felt as if he did two or three times more damage than usual.
Again, maybe I just had a horrible match, but I doubt the rework had nothing to do with it. It just bothers me because he basically did to me exactly what I used to do to garen every match, I did no damage while he melted me.
