What do you think about the Galio rework?

I can't wrap my head around it but something just isnt right. Every game I play I feel like I just cant quite carry. I THINK its his ult but im not sure. I can almost NEVER get it to work. Maybe its because its hard to coordinate because of the delay and playing with pugs. It might be better in premades but idk.

As a side note, after you land from your ult, you need to wait like a full 2 seconds to use your W... It's really frustrating to land and actually hit someone, then they run away while for some reason your W is put on a pointless downtime for a moment.

And why cant E go over terrain? Do you know how many abilities go over terrain? The ability is already gimped by the fact that he flies backwards a few yards before he even moves forward. If you are being chased, even if it can go over walls, you fly back and hit an enemy champion and it stops it anyway. Hes a little too weak right now, a buff like this MIGHT make him in a better spot.

magic shield is a really boring mechanic. rewards passive play instead of doing something

would rather have the old heal tbh

I like the kit but dislike the new look but really dislike the personality change.

Haven't played him yet though. Just an observation on my part. i was never huge of Galio but I had a place for him. They kinda lowered the place for me because well...when I don't like the look of a character or their personality then its a buzz kill for me.

That's the point. The skill is purely for getting Galio into teamfights, and CCing enemies. It's not an escape.

Galio is an amazing AP mid/jungle. If your building him pure tank you're building him wrong. His e feels clunky, but you're not suppose to use it as an escape. At lvl 2 you can easily chunk 60% of someone hp with your combo. Also, unless I'm using the taunt for dmg reduction, I hardly film charge it. I usually E in and immediately taunt, which you can easily hit his q. Also his AP scaling Is pretty good on him.

His lvl 1 ult is lackluster cause of the range, but once lvl 2 or 3 feels very strong and satisfying. It either causes the enemy team to disengage or talk pretty good damage and a knock up + the % dmg mitigation is fantastic

His kit is mediocre. His E feels super clunky and needs to be changed, his Q is not his old Q so by the rules of nostalgia I must hate it, and his new ult is probably his only new ability I actually like. And even then I only like it after I level it up twice so its range isn't so absolutely awkward

His new look is awful. He conforms so much to the generic demacian look. He never looked super demacian before. He was just a super cool gargoyle.

His new personality is the worst. I loved the personality and lore on old galio, and it was nice to play a slow, thoughtful, planning champ with a somber voice and a bit of history. New galio is just a stupid superman.

to me he isnt galio any more... he is a new champ with another champs name

You can't quite carry with him because he's a tank.

As long as you're not dying and you're where you're supposed to be in game then you're good.
