At What Point Does "Having a Bad Game" Become Intentional Feeding?

Woodakoodashooda··4 votes·1,020 views

For the first time in a long time I reported a player for dying too many times.

How many times?

18

18 deaths in a 38:29 game

That translates to an average death of one every 2:06.

And that doesn't count the time the player spent dead, unable to hand even more kills to the enemy team.

I get that some players who feed this much may be "trying", but when someone repeats the same exact mistake to the point in results in over a dozen deaths, I cannot bring myself to believe that they are actually trying to win. Because someone who is having a bad game while still trying to win is someone who will take steps to avoid repeating previous mistakes, and it is someone who will not end a game on 18+ deaths.

When they’re doing it intentionally.

idk why this is downvoted, its basically this. as long as none of the deaths were intentional, its not inting. its even in the name, intentional feeding is 100% intentional. as long as youre still playing to win, you can within reason have as many as you want, ive even had gmes where i went 0/15/4 but not one of them was to make sure my team lost. (granted it was my first time zoe though)

So I can go 0-50 in your match doing the exact same thing every time but as long as I tell you "I'm doing my best" it's legit? It's a well known exploit not to spam chat when you're trolling to avoid bans...

If you did the exact same thing every time we can kind of tell that it is intentional. I dont think Avante:Wings wrote anything like that.

I’m not sure where you or Deceased are getting the idea that intentional = saying you’re doing it. It’s not.

If you are actually 100% doing the best that you can, and still going 0/50, then that isn’t intentional feeding. Now, are you woefully unprepared for whatever skill level you’re at, do I have no idea how you got there, and do I feel incredibly sorry for your team? Yes.

But it’s not you intentionally doing it.

It’s right there in the name. Inting requires intent to sabatoge your team and benefit the enemy. It’s why things like Proxy Singed aren’t inting. You may end up dying several times more than usual, but the intent is not to aid the enemy team (and if you’re good at it, you’ll be wasting their time while your team gains advantages around the map).

Point out where I said that? Because I didn't. YOU are the one saying it's impossible to int based upon your above statement. I said you can do whatever you want (including inting) as long as you aren't offensive in chat.

Yeah no shit. Now what makes it intentional?

You can have a 0/5 adc @ 10 and it is fine, a pretty bad game. You can also have a 9/1 mid, that decides to walk straight into the enemy team to 'punish' your jungler for taking blue a minute earlier.

I hate that moderators can blatantly lie. They don't deserve the title if they don't even know how things actually work.

No, someone does not have to say in chat that they're inting to be considered inting. That's just plain false.

It's mainly about their score at the end of the game. 18 deaths in a 40 minute game, while bad, isn't unreasonable. 18 deaths in a 20 minute game would be considered inting given the evidence at hand. And that's the main issue. Only the KDA can really be used as evidence.

the mod didn't lie though, what he said is true, lol. its not inting unless its done with the intent to troll your team. and while you're absolutely right it doesn't have to be said in chat, if they're dying because they're participating in team fights and managing to at least cc someone on the enemy team or the like, then yeah they're still to the best of what they can do, trying to help.

You´re trolling, right? Noone mentioned you have to type "I´m inting" or whatever in chat in order to be considered inting.

Inting is intentional feeding

So the moment you plan on dying in order to assist the enemy, you´re inting.

And no, not even dying twice a minute wouldt be inting as long as your lane opponent or whoever killed you while you tried your hardest.

The only way to prove someone had intent is if they were to type it in the chat. So if it were actually required that intent be undeniable, then anyone would be safe by claiming it was a bad game, a dead mouse, a thunderstorm, a roommate watching Netflix, etc. But that isn't how it works.

All it takes is picking summoner 6 summoner 1 Nunu and collect some deaths. Trust me.

That's totally false, LOL. Inting literally means "dying on purpose", you can be a inter even with a score of 15/2...if at least one of the two time you died you did it out of spite for your team (I saw it happen, btw).

No, not really. Considering how ridiculous that sounds, you'd need to provide some strong evidence to prove 15/2 can get you punished for inting.

No shit? And that invalide what I said...HOW? The fact that it would be harder to prove doesn't change the fact that IS inting and IS punishable if founded out.

Moderators aren't anything special in the game. They are community members who help out on the forums. Most also wouldn't say "only when they say they are inting".

Score at the end of a game can be a factor, but also not the sole deciding factor. Someone 0/2/0 can be declared inting after a 30 minute game. This is because an inting ban is a blanket and includes trolling/griefing.

Your rank places you with some of the worst players in the game. It would not be surprising to assume that player had no idea how to adapt their gameplay. Looking at the enemy team also could explain their death count. With poor positioning, Miss Fortune will be dead before she can even react. It looks like this player is just exceptionally bad at the game which should be partially expected when competing at the bottom level of player skill.

I report anyone who I feel is making very stupid plays that get them dead in the Tire Im in. Im not the best player but if I could see that was a fight that should not have been started or could have been avoided (WE KNEW they were in that bush and yet your ran in 1v3) its Inting to me and report.

If you want to play Stoned or Drunk thats fine but if you do it in a ranked game and are being stupid because of it you are inting.
