As per usual, people are already jumping to major conclusions on the first day of a patch

This is completely understandable, but it still should be avoided. Once people start learning how to strategize around current changes and the good ideas get weeded out from the bad, then we can draw more sound conclusions.

We cannot draw any good data from <1 day of playtime. Relax.

But... but... x player took smite mid lane when literally no1 has seen it before and didn’t get punished for it because the changes are so new.

Fact is that it’s super cheese, and soon it’ll be painfully obvious that a midlaner taking smite wants to eat scuttle, which means he can predictably be collapsed on by enemy JG and mid, and also relies on mid+JG priority.

Also a laner with a combat summoner will simply not let you get lane priority, while you also build a jungle item that’s effectively useless in lane.

On top of that, if you don’t wanna get killed by enemy JG trying to cheese scuttle, you need to call in your jungler to make time to hover you so you can take scuttle. Lol.
