[Idea] Universal Challenger Division - Just hear me out :)

A thing I never liked at LoL is it's region locked mentalities and the fact the game is very fragmented between different servers. For example, a challenger player in Korea will always be viewed as awesome while a challenger in Oceania is meh. I think a universal challenger league will make the tier more prestigious and even fun to follow. Can also reduce matchmake times and make things easier for top players to test their skills with the best each server has to offer

Ok, sounds cool ... but how can it work?

Well, it's easy really. Nowadays we have powerful internet connections all over the world. All it needs is a central dedicated challenger server with a dedicated connection to each of the region servers. I've tested the connections and it's perfectly doable. All challenger accounts will be moved to the server and when for example a master tier is matchmade with a challenger, that account is temporarily moved to the challenger server

What do you guys think? Would you like the challenger tier to be universal for all servers?

It's not worth it and it will result in higher ping for most challenger players and that will give them worse games. The current system is ok.

Higher ping? You mean max 5milisec. That's not even humanly possible to react

More like half a second which is double the time it takes an average human to react while it'll be much closer to three or four times a pro's reaction times. It'd be like the pbe server but worse

it's an interesting idea and would make Challenger players that do step towards the pro-scene have a better learning experience but this would cause some issues. Like a NA challenger player may not meet up to the Korean challenger player so they would drop to diamond/master tier and then need to get back to challenger to practice against those other regions again. It would create a big gap for some players across regions as they try to adjust and adapt. So while this would be good, I think it would need a lot of work to make it fair and reasonable to all the players.

Well, that's kinda the point, but I doubt the game is that big. Even so, it will be good for NA for example because of better top players in the region, even if they drop, they get a huge boost to experience and can share that bellow.

No like the NA challenger will likely drop then get put back into NA, meaning he isn't playing against those Koreans as much as he may need. This idea would work better on a single rank ladder with every player so everyone is always playing and practicing against everyone. Then you run into some weird issues even then but it's still probably a lot better than the current system where every team loses to Korean players.
