Bronze Isn't About Playing Well to Get Out
Bronze here, probably won't ever see the light of silver let alone gold this go around.
But I've noticed something.
Success at this tier does not depend on player skill.
It all boils down to whichever team lands the troll, the afk, or the griefer, and then the team that doesn't is the one that gets a free win.
I've dodged so many troll comps as of late and it's the only reason I'm even able to stay above bronze 4 right now. It's all I can do to stem my LP and MMR from bleeding out again. And any time I think, "maybe it will work out this time" and I give that far off meta pick the benefit of the doubt...SPOILER ALERT, it doesn't!
So, yea, so long as I'm the guy on every team that doesn't troll pick, grief, or afk and as long as I'm the guy who opts to dodge at the 2-second mark whenever I see trolls on my side, I guess I can content myself with being king of the trash hill that is bronze.
