Teemo's E.

All I have to say is this: It deals damage. So why, unlike Ashe's Q which deals no extra damage does it have absolutely no cost whatsoever? No one should have a damaging ability with no cost, let alone someone with a ten-minute damaging, slowing, invisible trap. (seriously, even if every player bought sweepers, that's still not enough to destroy them all)

Actually assuming your jungle and whichever lane was facing teemo both got a pink and one of them had a sweeper you could at least keep his shrooming restricted to in lane/ under turret.

As for the E though It is kind of ridiculous that he has a completely costless ability. especially when you realize that at 700 ap one auto will do more damage than 1 shroom( ignoring liandrys)

Exactly. Though even with toggles like Ashe's Q and Jinx's rockets, at some point the cost becomes negligible, they have the downside of having to choose when they can turn it on, unlike Teemo. It would help his balance to give it an early cost.

You're talking full build. At that point, a lot of things get ridiculous in damage.

The Ecdysiast1 votes

But how many champions have a DoT on every basic that gets that high?

Kuroi861 votes

No other champ is supposed to have a dot that big. Everyone needs a niche.

Kuroi861 votes

Unlike Ashe' Q, it doesn't give you the ability to permaslow someone. Numerous champs have on hit magic damage, most don't pay for them. The down side is that unless you itemize around that damage, it's meh. Teemo is one of the easiest to itemize for his on hit, though not sure that's saying much.

Ashe's Q is a costing move with the same attribute as an item that loses a lot of its gold efficiency if you buy it on her. Hers shouldn't cost mana since it can be easily replicated with items.

And this is reason to nerf an already heavily nerfed champ?

Because Ashe' kit is warped?

Look at it as a basic steroid for his kit. Do you want to make every champ have to pay for their built in steroid? Should Lucian pay for his double shot? Should Graves pay for True Grit? Should Yi pay for the passive AD from Wuju style? Should Olaf pay for his passive attack speed and resistances?

The Ecdysiast1 votes

You just named four champions with the strongest steroids in the game. As years of Yi has shown us, YES, he should have to pay for his Wuju style, and as a 44% win rate on Lucian shows, YES, he should have to pay for that extra shot. Extra armor on an ADC? That almost makes him able to 1v2 the bot lane. Extra resistance, attack speed, AND Lifesteal? Think about that for just a moment and you'll see that's also a yes.

Kuroi861 votes

So you want all of those champs to have mana costs placed on their steroids and have them changed from passives to active abilities?

The Ecdysiast1 votes

Yes.

Ashe's Q is an Active that can be turned off/on so it comes with a cost switching her from aa to aa with slow. Teemo's is a passive that once learned allows him to poison, and cannot be turned off.. so why would there be a cost?

The Ecdysiast1 votes

And? Just because her move is an active and his isn't doesn't justify it being cost-less. The point is it needs to be turned into a toggle, not a passive. If they were going to be giving characters two no-cost passives, why make a slot specifically for one in the first place?

by this logic all adc's should be nerfed because their damage comes with no cost.

The Ecdysiast1 votes

Um, no, that's not the logic considering Teemo can be played as an adc and still do the poison damage.

Varus's W has no cost. Cho'Gath's E has no cost. both are toggles that do extra damage on auto attacks. Ashe's Q probably has a mana cost because if it didn't she could make it impossible for melee champions without gap closers to damage or run away from her once she gets a certain amount of attack speed.

The Ecdysiast1 votes

You say "impossible" as if Frozen Mallet doesn't exist.

Apples and oranges. The two abilities aren't comparable because they do completely different things. Also, Teemo is in a good spot. There is no purpose behind making him weaker.

I honestly think they should rework Ashe's Q and E, perhaps make them synergize with each other like Katarina & Akali's abilities. After all, she is a Ranger Marksman.

For example: An amplification of damage dealt to champions that hawkshot passes through, maybe? I mean hawkshot can deal no damage, that's fine and dandy, but applying a debuff to champions that is passes through, amplifying the damage dealt by Ashe, by say...10-25%?

Teemo just needs love so his strong part isn't one of the most annoying things to deal with in the game.
