Why does Triforce get 20% CDR while Lichbane only gets 10%?

I get that lichbane does more damage, but that damage is only until mid - late game when you have more than 300 AP. At all stages before that, triforce does about the same amount of damage as its scales on the champ lvl, not their AD.

I get that it cost more gold, but it also gives a lot of stats that make the item function well on its own, while Lichbane depends on more CDR and AP from other items. Triforce has enough attack/move speed to function well with none AD items.

Overall triforce is a well rounded AD item that works well on its own and doesn't really depend on other items. It is probably the most gold efficient item in the game.

I'm not asking for Lichbane to get a ton of other stats, just 20% CDR so I have a better chance of procing the spell blade passive with low cooldown abilites.

I don't mind a gold increase on the item. It may even be added as a the new "Haste" unique passive that give an additional 10% CDR as long as you only have one item with "haste"

What are your thoughts on Lichbane vs Triforce?

It's kind of tough for me to accept that at face value with no stats. Are you just talking about the proc, or the damage from the whole item? Do you have stats or math to back that up?

because of their build pathes?

item 3078 = item 3101 + item 3057 + item 3044

item 3101 35% attack speed 10% cdr

item 3057 250 mana 10% cdr

also triforce costs 3733 gold and lichbane costs 3200 gold. youd expect the more expensive item to provide more stats.

if youre willing to pay 300 gold more to complete the item, im sure it would be possible to put another 10% cdr on lichbane. but that would put its combine cost between 700 and 800 gold and would make it a bitch to build.

I think that the vast majority of Triforce users only build triforce and then go tank, or maybe one other damage item. It needs to function more on it's own to be attractive to those champions. I think Lichbane has a different user base who build different items. Most of them already include a lot of CDR.

It's probably due to the fact that AP has tons of options that contain's C/D. Its not going to be the only item they build though. In a scenario for AP mids- They would build morellos then lich bane if desired. Thus giving them 30% C/D currently and not 40% C/D. Unless you really want AP Mids to really steamroll into oblivion, that is not really a good idea.

Yea, well that why I was suggesting it gets the new 10% cdr haste passive. So that you won't really be able to build 2 items and get 40% CDR, but lichbane on its own can provide 20% CDR.

It's harder to cap CDR on Triforce bruisers without sacrificing something. It's not the same as capping CDR on a mage.

Trinity Force should have 10%, too, and it did up until Patch 6.11. There is way too much Cooldown Reduction in the standard builds atm.
