So, Karma's tether root can go through Zhonya's?

Is this intended? Or is it a bug?

For context, I went on a Karma as Akali. She tethered me, and right before the root went off, I used Zhonya's. The root goes off, and when I come out of Zhonya's I'm still rooted.

I know you can still take damage when untargetable, I've seen Kayns and Xayahs die in the middle of their ult to ignite or something. But if this is the case, and Karma's tether can still root people when they're in Zhonya's, does this also mean that Karma's tether will still stick to someone like a Kayn or a Xayah mid ult? Because that makes no sense to me.

And if that is true, does that mean Nocturne's fear still goes through? Since it also is a tether?

I'm just really confused right now.

Stasis makes you untargetable and immune to damage. When Karma's tether ended, you were CCed, not targeted, and the stasis protected you from the damage.

It is intended to my knowledge. Most of the time you wont notice these scenarios because very few roots and spells have cc longer than 2.5 seconds of zhonyas but Karma's RW gives about 3.25 seconds of root while zhonyas only gives 2.5 seconds of stasis. For example leblanc's root still goes off if you are in zhonyas but most of the time you wont get rooted because the duration of the root is shorter than the stasis of zhonyas. And yes pretty sure things like kayn or xayah will stop you from being targetable but things damaging you over time are still in effect such as tethers from karma, leblanc, fiddlesticks etc.

As far as I´m aware item 3157 never prevented cc only hits. If I hit my target with abilities from Morgana or Nocturne before they use the cc is applied regardless.
