Allow Varus' Q cooldown reduction to apply on multiple targets.

Detonating Blighted Quiver Blight stacks on an enemy champion reduces Piercing Arrows cooldown by 4 seconds. PER TARGET HIT

Q is 12 second cooldown at max rank, currently if he procs W on an enemy he reduces it by 4 making it 8 second cooldown. With this change if Varus gets a really good piercing arrow that triggers blight stacks on 3 different targets he could completely reduce his Q cooldown, which as awesome as it sounds is really situational and might not happen very often, however hitting 2 targets with blightstacks with a single piercing arrow is more likely to happen and it would decrease his Q CD by 8 making it a 4 second cooldown.

I think a buff like this is what he needs as it would increase his skill expression and it also focuses on something very unique to Varus which is that among the marksmen with mark stacking mechanics he is the only one that can proc his marks on multiple targets. It also increases his synergy with item 3085 and IMO seems like the kind of buff that wouldn't put him over the top and it doesn't rely on stat checking either.

This would make his Q without a cooldown essentially, and people wouldn't really use it to fully charge Q and instead use it to proc Blight stacks with an instant cast. I'd honestly get rid of that 4 second cooldown refund and just buff something else.

Ok, this would be cool, but does Varus need a buff? Currently, I don't think he does. Also, people are complaining about there being too much damage in the game. This would technically add more damage into Varus' kit.

Keeping in mind that his kit functions this way to reduce poke - when this mechanic was added, his Q cooldown was increased across the board by 4 seconds. Therefore, his Q when used just for poking was nerfed, but Q use for proccing blight was not. When they added this in, they could have made it as you suggest but they didn't. That implies to me that they at least thought about it and determined it wasn't necessary at that time.

So on the one side, it would be a cool skill expression. But on the other it equates to more poke (potentially) and more damage output. Overall, I don't think that it's justified at this point. However, I do think that should he ever need a buff, this would be worth looking into.

"Situational" no it absolutely would not.

You just get Runaans, fire one auto and Q all 3 targets. Imagine if the enemy gets Ori ulted? Varus will just go AA - Q - AA - Q - AA - Q, etc.

If he has 34%+ CDR he only needs to shoot 2 targets to get a full reset. At 40% CDR with current reset the cooldown is 3.4 seconds. Adding another instance of -4 seconds would be overkill.

Sounds like AP Yi level of cheese that we really just don't need.

I was thinking... What if his E casting acted similar as his Q? Where if he channeled it for 2 seconds he could increase the range and the size of the area.

When fully charged, you would have the option to release it within 2 seconds, but casting E instantly would still work.

Thoughts?
