Changes I'd Make to LoL...

...That would dramatically improve the QOL that the community, in its short-sighed foolishness, will say is bad:

  1. Bring back Team Builder. There's not a good reason to play Normals since it's Ranked-lite. You need to differentiate them enough to make people want to choose normals. You can do that by bringing back TB.

  2. Remove BE, Chests, and Leveling in Ranked. When you fail to listen to my sage advice in #1, you'll need to find a way to make Norms relevant. And by that I mean for the selfish people, not the ones who actually care about other players. Make ranked about ranking up. Not all the extra shit.

  3. Remove Autofill/Add Incentives to "Fill." We always had autofill. It's called "if you want a quicker queue, stop signing up for mid." You wouldn't have this problem if you had TB where people could sign up for the lane/champ they wanted with buy-in from the team. But you got rid of TB because you didn't listen to me. And you're going to reap what you sow again and again if you fail to adhere to my omniscient genius. If people sign up for "Fill," give them bonus OE. Not a lot. Like 30.

  4. Buff towers. If not in total, then in the top lane. The speed of the game is favoring early OP champs. Speed has resulted in monoculture.

  5. Introduce new items. Primarily that have shields against things like Knock-Ups, or spell reflect. Rather than nerf OP champs constantly, I'd intro some items that make the brainless champs have to think.

  6. Rework the Relic line. If your ADC rages and quits or roams, the item doesn't work particularly well. Have them execute work even in lieu of an ally in proximity - furthermore executed minions that give gold to an ally should be reflected in the CS so people understand how much you took and how much you shared.

Alright, ya jackles. Explain to me your "concerns"

{quoted}Alright, ya jackles. Explain to me your "concerns."

Sure!

My primary concern is that the tone of your discussion -- from the quotes around "concerns" to the phrase "the community, in its short-sighed foolishness" -- make it clear you're not really looking for anything but praise for your ideas. So there isn't a real discussion to be had here, as your post already dismisses any critique out of hand.

Good luck though.

It's tongue in cheek. Humor is the last resort of the powerless. I've explained things in more rational terms in multiple posts. They were always met by self-serving rejection because either something else was wanted first, or because they didn't want the gravy train to end.

At what point do you throw up your hands and say "these people don't care about the community, they just want the biggest slice of the pie?"

Can't tell you. I can say, however, that as someone who loves discussing this sort of thing the framework you used here makes me super disinclined to actually do so, as it seems like the opening post already dismisses all reasonable disagreement and/or critique.

Well you can always steer the conversation in a more positive direction. You have a title, and it's not like my post was substance-free.
