I think he needs some work or something. He was a lot of fun back when I could crystalline flask 2 hp pots and I had ap masteries that made sense. Id just stay in lane and farm my ass off and if i got harassed a lot Id only be about 10-15% behind. Then roam makes up for it easy. now idk how to play him in lane.

You can, and I guess I should try it. But he should really be a laner I think. They probably keep him in the jg bc he is one of the best ap jglers and they dont have many viable ap jgs. Its still dumb af. He was supposed to be a champ that makes you feel like you outplayed your opponent, but everyone builds him as this super sticky tank that does too much dmg early on.
Thats not really balanced, but if they nerf his base dmg (they already did) then his mid game will be 0. I cant think of one good reason, other than the paucity of ap jglers, that ekko is allowed to do this shit. I feel like the tank build is sucking power balance away from his laning phase.
Riot needs to give up on ap jglers. They r too dependant on lvl 6. WW. Malaphite. Akali. Diana. All suck before lvl 6 and the jungle keeps you out of the exp race. Its never going to happen. The only good ap jglers are broken ones.
