Strawman arguement

Old thunderlord was an AoE at first ( don't know if they changed it before Electrocute), so it was actually stronger and it was easier to proc too.

Champions have no issue procing it in general that would want an instant burst option. Also, you say "old thunderlord", so I guess it was changed from AoE to single. the AoE radius depends and it being better depends on the circumstance.

Ya the days where literally every champion took thunderlords .... way better right ?

It was better back then. Way more choices in three Trees, not one, more runes (millions of choices) and not DMG slapped on almost every rune. Nowdays everyone takes the same runes on the same class anyway.

Aftershock is a shitty Courage of the Colossus, Windspeakers on Enchanters made its way for Aery, Conquerer is the new Favor of Battle and Fleet Footwork is Warlords Bloodlust.

It's funny because I rarely took thunderlords as I'd rather take the other runes (Fervor comes to mind).

You had nowhere near as many choices in the old masteries. You theoretically had way more, but realistically you had about 4 meaningful choices at most, most of which were which keystone you ran.

The "choices" you remember were the oh-so-meaningful choices between 2% ability damage and 4% AS, 10 AD(15AP) at 18 versus 4% lifesteal, 7% armor or magic penetration...Yeah. Old masteries were either obvious choices, insignificantly weak, or both obvious and useless. And not a single one was an interesting choice. They all just...happened. There was rarely ever anything you had to do for them, or any special anything they encouraged. All were based around what you were already going to do, with literally the only exceptions coming to mind being a few runes that nobody actually ran except as a joke because they were fucking useless.

Gain a shield for 3 − 54 (based on level) (+ 5% maximum health) per nearby enemy champion for 3 seconds after hitting an enemy champion with a stun, taunt, snare, or knock up. 45 - 30 sec cd

You can not possibly tell me that is better than aftershock which will makes you invincible for 2.5 seconds.

There are plenty of damage options in the current runes set but there is also plenty of defensive and sustain options in the current rune set.

You can try and argue that there was millions of different rune options but in reality 99% of those builds where noob traps with the optimal builds for every champion being the same with the change of mr or armour depeding on matchup.

If it was just a "better Thundelords" then everyone would be picking it... but wait! It's not as easy to proc. Are you going to make another useless comparison?
