@Riot, Any Chance The Matchmaking System Can Put Unranked Players In Their Own Provisional Games?

Like match people playing their provisionals with other people playing their provisionals.

I literally just made a post about people getting auto filled and not saying anything. But after looking more I realized something.

Our support who was autofilled is a new player. You can even still see INTERMEDIATE games in their match history. They played normals and Intermediate games and it looks like now they are playing ranked and in their provisionals.

That account has no past history, this is their 1st season. They could be new and still learning basic stuff.....like WARDING (they was FIRST time sona support and finished the game with a vision score of ONE with ONE ward placed).

Now the game was lost due to 2 people going afk on our team but they were upset because of the Sona, not saying they were right in going afk, but thats why they did.

I think it would be better to have people that are playing their provisional games to be matched with other people playing their provisional games. I was in my Silver 3 promo series and this person is new to the game playing their provisionals , their 4th ever ranked game and we are in the same game.....this just doesnt seem right.

This game does get new players....not everyone on a new account is somebody who has been playing and just made a new account. i think this would help everyone in low elo. Less stressful for everyone, including the new player.

How would the system know where to put unranked players? You have a bunch of people of unknown skill playing against each other, theres no consistency. If theyre playing with/against people then you have something to compare them to. Otherwise its just winning and losing games against/with people of unknown skill and you might as well have flipped a coin to see where theyll start out.

Accounts have a starting set MMR when they 1st start to play ranked..... just gain MMR when you win and lose MMR when you lose and after your 10th game, place them according to wha their MMR is. Like seriously I dont think anyone can justify any reason why someone playing their 4th ever ranked game is in the same game as someone playing their Silver 3 promos....especially when they are 0 - 3 in the previous 3 ranked games they have played.

You mean give the brand new player with the skill level of bronze 4 more MMR than they already deserve because they got carried by the bronze 1 player that won the game for them? Also, MMR doesn't change a lot with each game, so it would take A HELL OF A LOT MORE than 10 ranked games to have a new player land exactly where they should be.

Second, the issue here isn't how they got placed, but how YOU got placed. You ideally shouldn't have been placed with such a new player in your promotional game, but we live in the REAL WORLD. Look, it sucks, and I've been through it myself, but if you deserve to climb past silver 3 then 1 badly matched up game isn't going to change that.

well if you see the other post i made before this you would see it wasnt just 1 game lol....literally both games of my series was decided in champ select before game even started. 4 game win streak, boom series, boom 1st game autofilled adc goes 2-17-6 playing Jhin at melee range....and then 2nd game was this one described in the post

but on other hand i get what you are saying.

Whoa it was 2, and not 1? Oh my god that makes so much difference.

Dude diamond players trying to climb to masters literally have every game be a coin flip. Your 2 unlucky games are nothing. XD

Doesnt work because youre assuming they have that random MMR and placing them in matches where everyone else is a massive assumption as well.

Okay. Except there's a few problems with that. For one, you'd be putting smurfs against fresh 30s all the time there. They'd be royally fucked. And then you're ignoring the fact that they'd have longer queue times than Challenger players do.
