"We originally removed Darius' full ult reset

because it lead to situations where he'd kill you once with it in lane, get ahead and then always be able to do so again, leaving opponents with no way to continue laning"

Riven Even though she has no reset, she has a stupid amount of mobility plus damage, and low CD's because building CDR or her is extremely effective. Her ult is nearly always up

If you're playing something that Riven can snowball against, but you don't win the snowball contest, then quite frankly you're an idiot who deserves to lose. o-o When I pick Irelia into riven, I do it knowing full well that if she kills me I won't have a lane (Provided she plays it properly), but likewise, if I kill her I'll be able to ram her broken sword so far up her ass that she'll wish she could build straight tank and still be useful.

Turns out that you're objectively wrong, OP, and her ult has a fairly long cool down, only ten seconds shorter than Darius' in laning phase. Oh, and hers isn't point and click true damage that scales off of stacks of AD scaling magic damage.

MAX TRUE DAMAGE: 320 / 500 / 680 (+ 150% bonus AD) Compared to MAXIMUM PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 240 / 360 / 480 (+ 180% bonus AD)

Note that his does more damage, his is true damage, and his scales with his total AD, not just bonus AD. his ult absolutely deserves a longer cool down than hers. "But ScreamPaste, Riven's ult is AoE", yes, and she can only cast it once.

Assuming you play Riven 5% from masteries + 10% brut + 15% from boots + 5% from runes = 35% at lvl 6, assuming you had a decent laning phase ( which you should ) so, 72s of CD. If she kills you, 20s at base plus 20s to comeback to lane = 32s of CD.

Yes, and every post you've made this week has been about Darius, so we know who you play. Here, have some facts.

You've created ideal circumstances for your own argument in a vaccuum that ignores how Riven works in game. IE, Riven doesn't rush Ionians, she builds them after she has a damage item besides her brutalizer.

By level six if she's bought a Brutalizer and CDR boots thats 2337 gold spent on 25 damage and 10 armour pen, but hey, 25% CDR, which /if/ she has 5% CDR in runes (because who needs magic resist?) and she definitely should have the 5% mastery, is 35%, not 30%.

Then, okay, sure, her cool down is a bit over a minute. But she does no damage and it doesn't matter. That's also more gold than she should have by level 6 unless you're playing wrong against her.

The long and short of this is that even with 5% in runes that's 20% cdr with the brutalizer at 6, IE, the lowest CD she can realistically have it in laning phase, is 88 seconds with 20% CDR after, you know, investing in CDR.

That's still a significant cool down, and her ult still isn't a point and click AD scaling true damage nuke that gets stronger with stacks of AD scaling magic damage.

Edit: And why don't you have teleport in your example?

Riven's don't usually pick TP. If you pick TP against her you will not him a single 1v1. Only with 20% ( without lucidity), the CD is 88s. You don't have much time to fight her, and even then, she has stupid amounts of damage plus mobility without her ult. And yes, she does damage. Darius ult at lvl 1 scales to a maximum of what, 400 in laning phase? This is assuming 5 stacks, which is hard to put on someone mobile like Riven

Even in your ideal example you cannot hope to compare "Riven can kill you after 37 seconds" to "Darius can kill you whenever he wishes to do so after you return". And as ScreamPaste has stated, you're overestimating both her gold income and the investment she has in CDR at this stage, while not taking into account her lack of damage.

Darius can't kill you whenever he wishes. Even when he had his full reset, was only there so he could actually snowball - Darius is TERRIBLE at teamfights. Buffing his teamfight is good, but his laning phase is not special anymore. He loses to most champions, can't stick to others, and is easily ganked

I know a champ that also has an ult that's basically up every time they get back to lane. Leona

Really wish they'd increase the CD of her ult.
