clarity on veigar
I don't understand it, but it seems many players walk in to the wall of veigar's e when they had lots of time to react and avoid it. 90% of the time when this happens, the player is walking from the inside of the walls and hits the outside. Of course, this is never a rational decision, the walls only stay up for 1.5 seconds and the resulting stun is 1.5 seconds.
I think the reason for it is players believe it is worse to be within than on the edge. Almost any other ability in the game that is aoe is in 1 of 2 ways:
- Constant effect throughout
- Worse in the center
So a player's instinctive reaction is to get out, which makes it worse.
I don't think improved clarity is necessarily possible though, so flat out the game mechanics should prevent these actions.
If veigar lays his e: Any player inside the walls is slowed and cannot pass through the walls. Any player on the edge of the wall is stunned for the 1.5sec as before any player outside the walls is stunned upon walking in to the wall as before.
I don't think any buffs would be necessary to make up for this since upper level players would behave like this anyways.
Alternatively, change the stun to be only for the remaining duration of the wall. Buff veigar accordingly.
I simply think a change is necessary because whenever I play veigar there is always at least 1 teammate who intentionally walks right in to the wall over and over again. And honestly, the first time I played veigar I thought I was just the most unlucky person in the world, EVERY time he cast e the delayed stun went off just as I was about to get out! Of course I looked it up after that game and learned what was happening, but I could imagine players doing it over and over again thinking it's a delayed stun in the whole area and not only on the edges.
