Do you know what the definition of hypocrisy is?

Complaining that League's damage is too high and there is too much mobility in the game while PLAYING the problem champions that caused this problem, I.E. Akali, Kayn, Yasuo etc.

That is a literal definition of being a hypocrite. Its surprising how many league players do it.

In a competition setting, no, it isnt. You use whats broken while its broken, thats the main (player reason) why limelight balancing works.

  1. Riot chooses their favorites.
  2. Riot buffs one of their favorites and buffs a selection of other champions.
  3. Other champions are to strong, gets nerfed.
  4. (Optional) If an item was the problem, nerf the item after the champion
  5. Lovetap the favorite
  6. repeat from step 2

Someone can feel the game's damage/mobility is too high, and as a response to that they feel like they have to play high damage/mobility champions, but they don't like being forced to do that so they still complain about it.

That was the situation I found myself in when I last played a match, and resulted in me going from Xerath to Pyke. Granted, I found the game state unfun enough to stop playing, but I can imagine there are others who are trying to weather the storm.

That's not hypocrisy. You can think something is broken and still abuse it to give yourself an advantage. Hypocrisy would be complaining about the players who play those champions, then picking them yourself. There's a difference.

I mean you have to abuse what's broken in order to win right? When you're playing ADC your options are limited to Ezreal Kaisa Vayne Draven if you want to win bot. Brand support.

Hate to break it to you, but in combat kayn is not that mobile. XD also he’s hot garbage tier thanks to the jungle nerfs.

Yeah well you wouldn't want to be playing tank and significantly lowering your rank/win rate because Riot is having a balance issue. Worst thing to do right now is to play a champion like Leona or Ivern and just inting onto many matchups.

Besides, you would think people abusing the issue know it best. Just like calling a smoker a hypocrite for telling you not to smoke, it doesn't do anything, it doesn't make the problem better, except with LoL it's not a semi-permanent life commitment to doing what's "wrong".

Incorrect. The literal definition is:

the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.

Not really; hypocrisy is calling everyone else a feeder and troll when you're an ADC who's 0/20/0 with 0 farm. Using the current power players in meta is only natural.
