What is worse
Graves with maw and steracks and the resistances from his dash ability, or fiora and akali with titanic hydra? Why are builds with dmg and hp and resistances offering seemingly as much or more dmg as builds without those resistances?

Generally speaking Mobility and Range offer as much protection as raw defense when it comes to LoL, seeing as it's a real-time game with a heavy emphasis on positioning and timing. As LoL isn't a turn-based game like Final Fantasy, Earthbound, or Pokemon: it has plenty of design space for champions like Nasus and Mundo to output similar levels of damage as a Ziggs or Zed, as tankyness isn't inherently better than range or mobility.
Tanky DPS isn't inherently broken, it's pretty balanced in a general sense.
As for Fiora: she's a fighter. Fighter is the tanky DPS archetype. Not sure why that's mind-blowing to everyone.
For Akali: Akali's assassin playstyle got nerffed to oblivion, become extreemly clunky and slow. With how slow her damage output is and how slow her stealth cloud is, she's effectivly a mixed damage sustained DPS fighter ATM. Really hope Riot pushes her back to being an assassin, really miss the days I'd fight Akali instead of Fizz.
With Graves: not sure what Riot was thinking.
Except gapclosers. Ur not really "melee" if you have a gapcloser every 1.5 seconds. Fiora can actually attack anyone in a 550 range circle around her, just like a ranged character can. She just cant switch targets, until her cooldowns come up and she can re gap close. Thaaats about it.
Unkillable, especially with new warlord's.
