After Morde nerfs, can we address odd interactions with items and his Q, and passives on his ghost?

As far as items interacting oddly with him these are the one's I've noticed:

  • Titanic Hydra doesn't reset his auto attack during his Q, even though it does for both Xin Zhao's Q and Rek'Sai's Q

  • Sated Devourer doesn't let him get off his q in two auto attacks - Xin Zhao does, but Rek'sai doesn't. I've heard this is intentional, but I don't see why Xin Zhao gets to do this, which was very much intended as they changed his coding from on-attack to on-hit just to do this.

  • Hextech Revolver, Gunblade, and Wota all suck on him simply because his Q is coded as AoE damage for no reason I can tell, and as such only work with 33% effectiveness. Gunblade SHOULD be a good item on him, but because of this it is quite unoptimal.

As far as his ghost's go, many champion's who have abilities with passive elements simply don't function. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Vayne's silver bolts visually apply, but don't do true damage

  • Jinx doesn't get any attack speed for auto attacking with her minigun

I'm sure there are quite a few more, but these two are quite common.

These strange and unexpected interactions are not clarified in the least and ruin what would be some great items and pets for him.

Admittedly, Sated letting him get off his Q in two hits along with the auto reset from Titanic letting him get off those two hits in an instant would be extremely cheesy, but Xin Zhao CAN do this, and he has a dash that lets him pull it off extremely easily. Why is it OK for him, but not Morde? (Its not okay for either if you ask me)

His Dragon Ghost's AI is also quite bugged, and will occasionally drop aggro on it's targets randomly, unless this was fixed recently.

Furthermore, Mordekaiser seems to hurt framerate for certain players.

Occasionally Drop aggro? Like all the time!

Yea, the frame rate issue is BAD. I honestly haven't had it happened to me for a while, but I'm pretty sure I'd see it if there are two Morde's in the same game.

I don't particularly disagree with any of your points but I will bring up the fact that many pros currently build Hextech Gunblade on him, so i wouldn't exactly say it sucks on him.

CertainT was saying statistically it was really under performing on him. Its alright built later, but you kinda need TF and gauge first.

wait titanic actually resets your auto unlike tiamat? Rofl...

that's dumb

Was like uh titanic doesn't reset auto then went and looked and low and behold it empowers your next auto...

consistency pls rito even tho it don't make much sense

Some of those aren't bugs, and are working as intended, but are huge problems when it comes to clarity. How are you supposed to know Q counts as an AoE attack? It doesn't do damage in an area, so you wouldn't expect it to behave the way it currently does with some items. Yes, it may be too powerful if it was coded as single target, but at least there should have been some note in the ability stating it counts as an AoE ability for item purposes. Sort of like how it explicitly states that GP's Q counts as a melee auto attack despite being neither melee or an auto attack.

Sated is an abomination as far as balance is concerned. There are a lot of champs that are specifically and meticulously balanced around having their on-hit's trigger only so often.

Oh come on, Yi's q having less than 2 seconds of down time is total fair!

I don't think any of the items are bugs per say, but having them interact differently with him than any similar ability without any indication sure isn't promoting clarity.

It's only 2 seconds downtime if you don't kill him before he starts resetting, and at that point it's on you.

I can answer number three

His Q can apply damage to multiple targets (could be considered AOE in that respect) and does so in more instance. It isn't your traditional AOE, but isn't your traditional single target wither. It has its own mechanism, and so is subject to different rules.

It should probably count as DoT in all honesty, which would still proc spellvamp in full.
