He has way too much base damage on abilities and they cost way too less mana.

As for his mana costs, they are actually decent. Especially W. It's just that he builds like a mage with item 1056 and Manaflow band. So he has some mana sustain. Nothing strange there.

What a lot of people don't seem to realize is that he's one of _those _early game champions, like Darius or Pantheon. He can be a pain in the ass early on, but once you get your items and start rolling, you'll find that he falls off quite a bit. His Q remains a good form of CC as you should expect from a tank, but that's really all he keeps late game.

You'll need to be patient, avoid taking unnecessary damage, and go for late game. Don't try to kill him right away and do what you want, not what HE wants.

And no, killing him doesn't count as what you want.

I just played against Sion Support and god he's irritating. He had good poke with his E, decent damage on his Q. I can see why people are complaining about him.

The Q dmg mostly just comes in if you let him charge up fully in an unwarded bush while you casually cs and forget about him. In most other situations he won't get the full charge up. Especially if you played against him more than twice and know his laning patterns. Which is part of his winrate. Unfamiliarity combined with a good wallop to punish mistakes.

As for his E, it's predictable (especially if you know the cooldown) as you can see him lining up the shot on the minion wave. It usually pushes the wave, allowing easier jungle ganks, as freezing a lane with Sion support is tricky.
