I don't want to quit, Riot.

As much shit as I give you and this game, I don't want to quit. I've put so much time and effort into this game, I've put a bit of money into the game, I made friends for the first time (if even only for a while)... I don't want all that to be for nothing. But, I just can't really enjoy the game much anymore when you lie left and right, and when the only way to be competitive is to abuse what you break.

I played WoW for over 12 years, and I loved it that whole time. It was my childhood, since I hated reality. But then Activision bought out Blizzard, and proceeded to destroy the game in the name of greed. By the time WoD hit, I just couldn't stomach it anymore, and I quit. Of course, I'd tried other MMOs in that time, but none of them really had what I was looking for. So I went gamehopping for a while, and landed on Wildstar. Unfortunately, the game died off, and I was left without a game to play again. So people recommended me League. I had played it a time or two back when it first came out, and I didn't like it at all, so I never stuck with it. I thought it was still a bad game that I wouldn't enjoy, but I had no other choice, so I tried it again.

This time around, I was instantly hooked. I was enjoying myself and having fun (which is rare), and I couldn't stop playing. But, the higher level I got, the more I noticed that things weren't entirely great, as some champions were absurdly strong. But, you could still beat them, so I kept playing. I discovered my true love (Heimerdinger), and was having a blast. I went into ranked calling myself a Jayce main, and ended up placing S1. Things were good for a while, and only got better when I ran into a group of people in dynamic queue the next season. One of them was a girl who had stepped out of a dream, and who admitted to having a crush on me, but they all disappeared after a while. So, my brother started playing, and I duod with him for a while, but then he stopped playing with me too.

Then we have this season. I've been playing alone, so it's already not as much fun, and those champs I was talking about earlier are god tier now, and have taken over the game. Riot lies to us left and right, and any glimmer of that dream Beck once had is long dead.

I don't want to quit and leave everything behind on such a sour note, but you make it harder and harder to want to stay around, Riot. Pretty sure I'm not the only one either.

I understand you, my friend. It's been years now that I solely play ARAM because I flee the meta and every disgusting things that riot puts on this game. They ruin the game bit by bit for me, but I want to enjoy the game. Noboddy sees the crysis that the game is in right now, and it'll probably go on until it dies

Same thing happened with WoW. Activision bought out Blizzard, and the game got worse and worse, millions of people started leaving, and now WoW is at a very low number of subs (around 4.5M now, where Wrath had 10M+) and is just a terrible game now.

People need to stand up to greedy developers, but everyone is afraid to or just too lazy to.

Yeah game was actually fun s6. Now its just new ridiculously broken champ every patch that gets abused, then nerfed. Then next one gets abused. Endless cycle.

I had fun in season 5. Felt like everyone was viable, and you saw a lot of champs. Now I see the same 10 bullshit things over and over.

This is not to discredit anything you say, but Riot won't really care if a single player leaves. People have gone on and on about how a certain change will kill League, yet it never happened thus far and probably won't until something better comes along and completely upstages League / The developers pull support for the game.

Oh I know they don't care. They don't care if a thousand leave either. One whale is worth thousands of players anyway.

Go play Flex que.

I already got gold in Flex (for the special reward for being gold+ in both queues). Never touching it again until next season.
