Lot of aoe and %health damage does that I guess.

AoE damage. Percent health damage. Able to get off multiple rotations in a teamfight, due to his durability and the fact that most don't want to focus the tank.

It's really not uncommon to see tanks with AoE damage top the damage charts, just because they can spend so much more time alive hurting people. It also helps that their targets are typically very squishy, so the damage they deal isn't reduced by much.

The Gragas had Cinderhulk and Thornmail as well, which helped a lot against three autoattackers.

It's true; high bases, almost all AoE damage, % health, cinderhulk, all this stuff makes Gragas do FAT damage even as a tank. Cinderhulk Gragas is insane

Plz post match history for proof.

Getting real tired of people saying "damage without damage items" without giving us a chance to assess it for ourselves.

Well, you got faf so of course your aoe damage is going to be high. I'd be worried if you were playing a single target champion and dealt that damage (like an assassin).

But, to be fair, I think 15/3/17 is considered fed, and with aoe damage your numbers are going to be high (100 aoe damage on an entire team is 500 damage total, so the number might get inflated a little). Still, being fed, it's an outlier. I'd like to see the statistic of a behind or even Gragas to have a fair comparison to other champions.

I was fed, but I was building zero AP. My damage wasn't going up with any of those items, but they did make me last longer in the enemy team

As your level increases, so will your base damages. If you're ahead, you're gonna deal more.

Though lasting longer in a fight so you can throw out more spells will definitely increase your damage. IIRC, the team isn't really supposed to focus the tank, but since they're the frontline the adc gets to in order to auto safely.

when you are fed you outlevel enemy and have a higher base damage too, and gragas' % hp damage scales with levels hard
