The Cass rework from the perspective of an Aspiring Designer that doesn't play Cass

They should have went with the "Sustained damage" route rather than the "Ramps up" route. Which are honestly not too different from eachother. The former is a micro approach and the later is macro.

Basically, her QWE would start out being kinda okay and would do more and more and more and more based on how many times you hit the enemy with them. Ironically this is what the general idea of this rework was, but they went the "grand" approach on it and made it so you just got more AP the more you did this. Most players seem to want Cass to be this "ramping" poison mage by making all of her spell costs, cooldowns and abilities get better the more you hit people with them.

So it would be something like:

  • Hitting an enemy with a spell would mark them with "Deadly Cadence" causing spells to cost less mana, have less base CD and do %more damage when used against the target. Stacks up to X times (bases and CDs would be adjusted obviously)

Because it's so much of an annoyance to start with boots or grab movement runes to completely counter a character? Or counterpick her with a highly mobile mid laner like Yasuo, Zed, Talon, Ahri, Blanc or somebody who outranges her like Zyra, Lux, Ziggs or Xerath, or somebody who simply instantly kills her like Akali.

Seriously. It's a joke that a champions gets nerfed not because he's broken, but because people refuse to attempt the most simple measures of counterplay.

So we automatically lose to Cass if we don't pick a character that outranges her? This is fair to you?

i don't think you understand why players are mad about the rework. a debuff on enemies or a buff on cass, it doesn't matter because 400 stacks to be useful is dumb.

Im not promoting the 400 stack idea tho
