@Riot This is ridiculous

How long does it take to remove one bug? Bard's been disabled for three days now, whereas other champions get their bugs fixed in 2-3 hours. Are you guys just disabling him until the next patch in 2 weeks? Come on, you guys are ripping off everyone who bought him early.

You need to take a course in computer science. i'm fascinated by how they got his magical journey to work. the issue that they're fixing requires a delayed update of something that isn't related to the move causing it in a direct way. this means that the 'quick' way to fix it would be to manually have league to check EVERY possible tower interaction in the game for every tick that bard's ult lasts, which is brutal on resources. They say that have a fix in PBE already going, which is damn quick imo. The bug behind this was a crazy spin-off that i would really love to see a fix of, as i doubt that they did the lazy way for resource reasons.

Or they could just make it impossible to ult turrets that are already invulnerable, effectively killing the bug. They've had similar bugs in the past, and have never taken this long to fix one.

Except that the ability is explicitly supposed to be able to do that as a tower saver, especially on the nexus towers. And this bug is based on the ideas behind update timers and non-interacting objects, which is a complicated piece of coding. nothing about that entire section of code is anything any dev wants to mess with, so they have to make the change bard-side, or risk breaking the towers. this means the change will be in PBE for a bit at least, making sure there aren't new bugs.
