She has fairly large windows of inactivity, and being a caster ADC, her mana management is a problem early game, until she gets a Bloothirster.

Blood Thirstier solves her mana problems?

Sona Ping3 votes

No, Bloothirster does.

What's a bloothrister

Sona Ping1 votes

Sister Sword and counterpart to the red Bloodthirster, the Bloothirster grants the other resource, mana.

(kind of a shame that Riot is steadily stopping support for in-jokes and easter eggs like the ninja)

They said Bloothirster.

Lol what's a bloothrister

If you search Bloothirster using the ingame search function for the shop, it brings up Essence Reaver.

MrHaZeYo1 votes

oh, did not know that.

no idea how item 3072 would fix her mana problems when it doesn't provide mana in any way, shape or form

Read a bit closer, and search Bloothirster in the ingame shop.

no, item 3072 this is all i need to see. I don't care what shows up in game. This item does not solve mana problems at all. Tell me why a lifesteal item somehow makes it so that you don't have to manage your mana

Nanuk Pihoqahiak2 votes

The original person NEVER said Bloodthirster. They said Bloothirster, which causes Essence Reaver to pop up when you search it ingame. Lmao.

NEVER said Bloodthirster. They said Bloothirster...

[sg-lux-2] so... somehow a missing D has a completely different meaning? [sg-lux-2]

Nanuk Pihoqahiak1 votes

Yes. Because Bloothirster makes Essence Reaver pop up, which DOES restore mana.

so in other words "oh look let's not call the item what it's called just because it shows up when you mistype another item on the ingame shop!" that pretty dumb and stupid and i will say it again... item 3072 does not restore mana since that is the name not item 3508 names are different, i don't care what shows up when you mistype something

The easter egg they were referencing obviously flew past you. It's okay.

Behold, the Bloothirster, or, Essence Reaver as it it known. Long ago, it got it's icon updated.

shes easily countered with tanks.

Depends on the builds or if she's support or adc.

I can toe to toe tanks on Support MF:

item 3033 item 3071 item 3025 item 3031 item 3508 item 3165 no boots build as support.

= About 350 Base AD, 100 AP, and an additional about 55.2 AD from Transcendence = over 400 AD, + Eyeball Collector, Gathering Storm, item 2140

It's not the build I've got the most stats out of, but it's easily almost 500+ AD 100 AP.

I've had a game where I had MF up to some 520 AD 272 AP, and I think that might have involved a item 3146 Her Ult was something like 7800 damage and just melted tanks.

Another nutty thing: I've done it as ADC too. I've started MF item 3025 on ADC and then built into an Essence Reaver and was 8/0 by about 10 minutes vs a tank bot.

Something that's pretty fun in a game you predict will go really long with MF as a support, is actually to go dual item 3070 items.... aka item 3042 and item 3040 , which I know sounds nuts, because of Tear's charge, but the rework on how charges work make it viable in a long game, and their mana feeds each other. I've had item 3040 at 213 AP on her, and item 3042 having 98 AD. The on hit Proc on Muramana works on her auto attacks, and the sheer AD boost just makes her ult scary. The Seraph gives a shield which helps vs assassins like Rengar. Even before you get crit items, you'll see a noticeable difference in your ults, and the damage output actually surpasses ADC builds overall.

its different in higher elos. like yi is viable in low elo hes not in high because people know how to play against it, same for mf. not saying mf is completely unviable its just there's better picks atm
