So, AS champs. Balance, right?

Seriously, AS champions are just fucking absurd. BEYOND broken right now. I don't understand how it's "fair and balanced" for the literal easiest class in the game to just dominate matches by clicking on people.

So, let's look at AS champs, shall we?

  • Automatically-aimed, unmissable, resourceless attacks that automatically fire off more than once a second (oftentimes at long range), cannot be dodged, have no drawback or inherent risk and proc things like BORK, Guinsoo's, Sated and so on -- all while having the highest sustained and burst damage in the game.

Does that sound "fair" to you? Does it sound balanced? Any other champion has mechanics and kits with complexities and synergies to work around, and a lot of champs have skillshots which, you know, require some level of thinking to lead with and hit people reliably -- and they have resources and risks involved. Yet, here we have the easiest class in the game just vastly outperforming literally everyone. How do you justify that?

Seriously, least effort / skill / thought / risk, but the greatest reward? What kind of sense does that make?

So Riot, I'd LOVE to hear from you just once: How do you justify the easiest, most reliable source of damage being, by far, the strongest?

They are balanced. Burst damage and squishy. Close in on them and they panic.

Yeah, you tell that to Xin, Jax, Yi, Shyv, Kayle or any of them.

...Kayle, Yi, and to a degree, Jax are squishy. Particularly Kayle. Kayle isn't very mobile and doesn't build tanky items.

Yes, but she permanently slows you, has a heal, and can become invincible at will. Plus, she kills ANYONE before they can get within a mile of her.

Yi and Jax build a BORK and never even look at their health bar anymore -- and, more recently, Jax abuses the fuck out of Gunblade.

I mean, they do need these things to be able to stay alive long enough to deal their damage since they're dps champions...I mean, unless you just want them to get blown up before they're even able to do anything. Also, BORK is weaker than it was last season.

I want Riot to reward people for using harder champions. Right now, you're punished for using anything that isn't AA-based or all targeted bullshit. There really is no reason to play anyone complex / fun when you can do the same thing, but 50x better, with some boring as hell clicker.

Effort / Reward. Greater effort = Greater reward, while Less effort = Less reward.

I mean, they already do that pretty much. With champions like Orianna, Azir and more. You can't just really make champions purposely weaker than one more complex simply because they're easier to pick up or understand. There's also a lot less targeted spells. Also there's a lot of viable champions that don't rely on auto attacking and targeted abilities?

I'd say a lot of the strongest champions currently don't necessarily rely on these two things.

Go watch any "pro" game.

Then, come back and tell me how many complex champs you see.

Then, tell me how many braindead point-and-click nuke / CC spammers you see.

The only viable champs are ones loaded with targeted abilities and CC. Anything else is not viable.

And see, in any game where they actually gave a damn about balance, and not just milking whales, the easier, simpler classes / champs / whatever would be FAR less powerful, while the things that were harder to pull off actually rewarded you for successfully doing so. In today's fucked up gaming industry, we reward incompetence, and make the easy just as strong as the complex, entirely removing any reason to use the more complex outside of it being fun, albeit less effective. In League, there is LITERALLY zero reason to play any fun, complex champ when the braindead ones do everything far better.
