With The Crit Changes They Took Away TWO of Ashe's Main Starting Items

When the crit changes rolled out there was clearly no thought for her 2 of her 3 starting items were taken away item 3508 and item 3031 . item 3508 was the go to item for Ashe but since the passive changes and no longer give crit its pretty useless on her. item 3031 because it gives no crit and no longer a starting item. The 3rd item she goes is item 3153 and you can argue its not a TERRIBLE starting item for her but its not very good either. Ashe isnt actually that weak in lane and buying item 3153 always feels like a set back since her entire way of doing damage is centered around crit chance, so no crit chance = no damage.

The reason I say when they did the crit changes they didn't think of Ashe is because their replacement for item 3031 and item 3508 was item 3095 and for those who don't know what Ashe passive does, she can't use this item because she CAN'T crit by normal means she needs to apply frost shot before she can she can crit and she does that by autoing, so she needs to auto first before she can crit and as we know your first auto form item 3095 is a crit and since she cant crit until they have Frost Shot it does no extra damage.

If they revert item 3508 or rework item 3095 I know for a fact Ashe could be good again, now am I saying that she is useless? No. She most certainly can still work, but you are in some form handicapping yourself if you pick her.

Thanks to all who took the time to read, I tried to make it as little boring and as informative as I could. [slayer-jinx-wink]

They really should revert item 3508 like why did they change it was fine and champions built it but now no one builds it first and there is like 3 champions can that use it and only one is a adc.

Niche off-meta builds using Muramana -> Transcendence stacking for extreme AD love the new version, so I'm enjoying it. It's also theoretically great for certain champs who have super-mode or hard-engage ults and mix AAs and abilities. Heck, I can see Riven rushing it first item if it didn't have so much power locked up in mana and mana regen. Definitely bad for Ashe though.

she CAN'T crit by normal means she needs to apply frost shot before she can she can crit

It doesn't matter in regard to your thread, but that sentence is wrong. It's not that she can't crit by normal means, it's that her crits do not increase her damage but rather her passive slow. The damage gain when hitting a slowed enemy is a bonus tied to her passive, with a crit chance ratio, but is unrelated to the crit system itself.

It means that item 3095 will indeed let her crit with her first hit. But she won't gain any damage from it, just a doubled slow, which is not so bad actually!

Not terrible, but not useful enough to buy a whole item around when she'd rather have actual damage scaling.

I mean, obviously, I just wanted to point out that less known trivia!

is that not what I said no disrespect at all but she doesn't crit by normal means because she doesn't the way she crits is completely different to how every other champion crits she can crit but she crits the ashe way not the normal way meaining she cant crit by normal means

Yeah, Ashe has been kinda screwed by most of the crit changes since she was reworked. Her rework was designed for the crit environment in which it was released, but the world of crit has changed drastically over several iterations since then, and Ashe has not.
