And I agree with you there! I've simply seen them treat the symptoms and then the cause so much over the years, that I'm expecting that to happen here too. If not, hurrah!

Also the Ancient Coin start that's popular now, is the larger contributing factor to his win rate, in my view. It gets you to the point where you can start trading a lot easier than Kleptomancy, because you're probably not gonna make as much use out of Kleptomancy until later in the game.

Yeah, and with new support item changes you have the option to just finish it for a free sightstone as well.

Gold generation is breaking the game in my opinion, there is just too much of it.

Hell yeah! As much as I might miss how fantastic talisman is on him at the moment, I am excited about how I can easily get a sightstone out of the deal if I want.

Which is fantastic for a split pusher. Planning to shove out a lane? Drop a few wards on the way. If it works out, fab! If not, oh well, base, and get more wards, try it again.

Whereas with the yellow trinket alone, before... Ehhh, it's a bit more risky, and I wouldn't commit as regularly. The recharge time on that feels like it's choking me sometimes!

Don't forget, you have the option to scout with blue ward or clear vision with sweeper now as well.

But hey, why pick? Get duskblade! Blue trinket, and sightstone item! Now you can scout, place invis wards AND CLEAR WARDS THAT SPOT YOU!

Definitely. One of my biggest gripes about the trinkets and ward changes, was that I wasn't able to invest in vision and vision control anywhere near as effectively as I used to. (I used to spend so much on wards but now I'm super rusty on it all haha.)

It's still a fact that Akali is a stat-check champion who has no inbuilt counterplay and in the 1v1 scenario of toplane is only beaten by champs who can kill her from range OR who can out-DPS Akali even after she's picked up Gunblade.

That's a major problem and shows how overpowered Akali is...

Akali isn't the issue. Even I as an Akali OTP despise the current Toplane Meta, mainly because of shit like Ornn and Maokai thriving and Klepto being abused beyond anything before.

Though his point still stands. It feels like in top that if you mess up once you’re basically fucked and because of how isolated and unimportant your lane is, you’re not getting help.

Now granted, there seems to be a big enough group of people who like this about top lane. But imo, dying once and getting stuck under tower because your opponent can basically win fights with one trade isn’t fun.

Honestly the only reason I play top is because the champions I like are balanced around it.

I actually really enjoy that "out of sight, out of mind" thing that top laners have going on.

There's nothing that makes me happier than suddenly appearing from a bush and making squishes wish they wore their brown pants.

But good lord it is punishing to fall behind in. The saving grace is least you're only really causing one point five people to get stronger on average if you do bugger up.

Depends on the match up honestly. But yes I prefer to play something where I don’t fall heavily behind if I die once in lane.

Hence my problem with bruisers and even their itemization.

Top lane isn't the main issue man , it's just Akali isn't ok why don't you feel bad us ? ( mages mains ) Akali is a midlaner after all and of course mages are the one who are suffering from her , besides most of top laners can actaully outplay her

Ehhh , not true , all melee can go all out at any moment they want and kill that mage , Akali doesn't care if you poke her or not , her passive will perma heal her , Kata doesn't even let you farm , talon has his abilities to counter poke and make you leave on no hp , Zed can go all in and you will die , actually melee mid laner are ruling ;-; except Yasuo the only one who suffers but a smart Yasuo can farm and make me suffer and make me stop farming

I think top lane is ok in games where the jglers just completely ignore it. But whenever a jgler comes, it always significantly tilts the scales in favor of one side, leading to snowball.

The thing is , her play rate isn't high , and there are other champions we need to ban , so banning other champions that will most likely be picked is smarter than banning a champion that has a low pick rate
