Whatever Veigar's compensation for DFG is he will probably lose the AP damage on his R

Only ability in the game that punishes the enemy for existing while also having really high base damage and AP ratios.

I dunno, his ult is one of the things that make him unique. He's the mage killer, it's kind of his niche, which riot wants every champion to have.

He's not healthy for gameplay!!

But seriously, Riot hates high damage single targets unless it's seen in pro games (CoughLeeSinCough). And a rioter said his e is ult-worthy. His "buff" is going to change his gameplay a lot.

What is more likely is that they will change his Ult-worthy E into something with more counter play, then lower the fall time on his W.

As for his DFG compensation, we have to look at what Veigar uses DFG for:

  • Burst a single target early/mid game with 20% less AP (give or take)
  • Burst two champions late game

Since Veigar can burst people late game with enough AP regardless of using DFG, getting AP easier would be enough compensation. A lower cooldown on Q and a partial mana refund on killing a unit with it would probably be sufficient.

Quick: %HP damage fine or toxic? Doesn't it also punish you for existing?
