How to make a real difference

So just by looking around the boards we all know how unhappy many players are with League and Riot right now. To summarize most of the complaints I see:

• Grinding levels is unsatisfying, even if we get more BE than IP
• Increased cost of Champion Mastery is unfair to those who were able to upgrade without buying Mystery Champion Shards
• Honor capsule rewards are now moot because of leveling capsules
• OE disenchant nerf for no apparent reason
• Teams steamroll in matches all too often
• Early game damage is too high
• Turrets and other objectives are too weak
• Skin rerolling was weighted until Riot was caught and then they immediately hotfixed it
• ARURF is unsatisfying, give us old URF with a 10-ban system pl0x!

Like many other players who are unsatisfied, I have been voicing my opinions and concerns, but it seems like a lot of our voices are straight up ignored. League doesn't seem as fun anymore, and as someone who has spent almost $1,000 on this game over the years I am not sure I can continue to support a company that has turned to very unethical marketing and sales practices.

The news about the skin rerolling system being weighted pretty much put me over the edge after seeing the response from Riot Cactopus, and I had toyed with the idea of deactivating my account on New Year's Day.

Why deactivate my account? Why not just not play the game until things get better? Well it's simple; deactivating your account requires contact with Riot Customer Support. I want Riot to know I am so unhappy with the state of the game and their current marketing and sales ethics that I am willing to deactivate my account and take my time and money elsewhere. It is not enough to simply stop purchasing RP; Riot needs to see a significant drop in hours played across the board to know just how unpopular the new changes are among the dedicated player base.

Maybe this thread will get downvoted to oblivion or flat out ignored, but maybe there are others who are just as fed up as me who are willing to go the extra mile just like I am. So then, if you really want to voice your dissatisfaction to Riot then I suggest Reading the Account Deactivation/Deletaion FAQ and considering taking this extra step if you plan on quitting League for a while.

So then, it's been fun Summoners! I do love League very much, and it's very unfortunate to see what's become of the game and of Riot. I hope that things get better in the future, and perhaps I'll be back someday to once again make AD midlaners ragequit with my leet Talon skills. [slayer-jinx-catface]
