Why this game makes people toxic...

When you go 5/0 in your lane, have 50 more cs and you're thinking 'fuck yeah, I'm playing good this game, it's in the bag', but that pesky "an ally has been slain" voice is troubling you... then you check your mid laner who's 0/8 vs. a yasuo hehe xd. And your dumbass jungler is trying to help the lane, only to get double killed and now you're playing 3v5 vs a late game yasuo in mid game. Have fun. Btw, that enemy laner that was 0/5 with 50 cs less than you, totally deserved that win, tho. :) I have sooooooooooooo many games like these that I remember... Even if you go into playing thinking you won't be toxic/tilted/whatever, these kind of games really fuck you up. Especially when it happens couple games in a row, you give all your best in lane, win lane, but lose game. It really takes a lot out of you. But I guess riot's ranked system queue health will be another ✓, ✓. Like the cause of all this shit isn't bad matchmaking + autofill.

Do you even realize how accurate this post is?

"3v5 late game against Yasuo" more like a 1v9 because you know nobody's gonna help you.

What's said is done, this is completely true and happened to me too. It's killed my motivation and made me stop playing League for awhile. After numerous games, I reflected and stopped caring about what players did, whether they fed, trolled, or Afk'd. It stopped mattering when i realized that i was only making excuses for myself, and stop improving. From then step on, I only cared how well I played my game, not how others.

If you find yourself in a situation like I once did, ask yourself, did I do my best? There's only so much you can pin on your team before you begin to see your own mistakes as well.

this stuff happens, but I've just accepted that some things are out of my control and I can only really focus on myself and my own improvement. I am more likely to win than lose if I am good, and that's what really matters in the long run, you just gotta look at the bigger picture rather than focusing on a few singular instances

It does suck balls tho

I mean, League's always had attitude problems, but now, falling behind in-game is quickly becoming an almost-irreparable snafu. What are you supposed to do when a lead as simple as half or one item can be the difference between you having a chance to win, and having none? These big-hitting wombo builds like Death's Dance, Luden's Echo, with all these juicy effects and enjoyable build paths, and these champions with their damn burst everywhere.

Of course the attitude is shit. I had a discussion with another guy about this, and how getting put behind feels even worse because the problem just starts to compound so exponentially; your lane requires attention. That requires another lane to not get it. That makes that lane vulnerable. Yours is already vulnerable. And more and more, champions are designed to exploit those weaknesses. It's goddam garbage lately.

Maybe if being on the killed-end of deaths didn't feel like signing the game off, but pressure mounts so quickly in League.

qt said something that I really took to heart when he was talking about toxic players like Hashinshin. They're passionate players, and they wouldn't be putting in the hours and the emotions into the game if it didn't mean something to them.

toxicity is sometimes just a form of passion people express for this game we all play, and I try to keep that in mind when I see people raging in game.

I relate on a spiritual level.

The game doesn't make people toxic at all.

It's a F2P so has a low bar for entry and the punishment for being a toxic prick isn't really all that because people (for reasons beyond me) feel that flamers should flame and not be reported like the trolls they are.

I know that feel. I've had games like that too where I'm godlike but team just straight out feeds. Games like that are usually unwinnable BECAUSE you can't carry 4 underfarmed players who constantly die. It's not possible. Many say that you should carry them but in reality it's so hard to do that. You are only 1 person, but enemies have 4 fully farmed teammates with lots of assists and some kills. You can't beat that alone.

When I'm having games like that I usually try to calm myself to thinking that this game is lost. So I wont tilt. There's just nothing I can do when games goes that way.

The matchmaking system is actually ridiculously bad, they just autofill people in roles they're uncomfortable with just to have a slightly faster queue time. I remember when games were actually balanced and no matter if I won or lost it was usually a close fun game and I didn't really care for the outcome. Now most of the games are complete onesided stomps thats why they added the /ff15 because games are usually decided by which unlucky team got the most autofills and you'll rarely make it to mid/late-game to have an actual fun and close game when they just snowball out of control.
