Anyone else still feel like turrets are dying too fast?
I know that 2 stack dragon buff is partially at fault here but it seems like turrets just drop way too fast.

Nah, I just feel they don't do as much damage as they should be.

No, turrets do way too much damage. The problem is that they're made of paper because Riot's balance team is a bunch of idiots.
Seems like pretty much as soon as you lose a fight in the lane, ur gonna lose a tower. As a jungler, if I see an empty lane I will just walk in and take the others tower for pretty much free cause its that easy. As a top laner, if i get a kill on my opponent, I can easily take tower. As a bot laner, if me and my support kill just the adc alone, we can zone out the support and take tower, pre 15 minutes. Its too easy. As Vi, my E with triforce does about 1/10 of the towers health.
Hm, I feel like it takes two waves if you're alone and it's earlygame.
I agree, but that is still far too easy.
The 1st ones go down way too fast, it feels like you cant go back to base without the risk of them going down while your gone
Agreed, i've 100-0 a turret while an enemy was walking back to base in top. I mean he picked the worst possible time to recall but still, the whole turret before he could get back. As pantheon.
I feel like if you die in lane within the first 8 min a towers just drop in a single wave. Its pretty absurd and ends laning prematurely.
I honestly think this is the biggest issue: the first towers are going down much too easily. The inner and inhib turrets tend to stay up decently well, but I feel like even if they doubled the HP on outer turrets, that would be better. I just feel like the laning phase is ending too quickly these days, but it's a fun part of the game. Even if it makes the game go a bit longer, I think it's fun!
As a split pushing Udyr, I approve of this
I agree with you towers go down way too fast, especially after 2 or 3 dragon buffs on yi/udyr/any adc/zed those towers are good as dead. The lasers for the last 5 towers are freaking pathetic. It does little to no damage to any one who attempts to tank it. Though it was suppose to make diving harder. It really made it easier to do. Over all the towers need health buffs and damage buffs because this split push meta is out of hand.
I don't want this game to drag on even LONGER because towers become even tankier. No thank you.
In a way i agree, when playing with the right people we can get a turret down in less than 8-10 mintues and to me that is just too weak! if anything they should increase their health along with increasing the damage they do especially to minions!
Towers are pretty weak atm yeah, especially lazer turrets who need a major buff. To name one, they need to do a lot more damage to minions.
Would be interesting if they did aoe dmg to minions. Might solve the problem. Like if it's focusing one minion, those close by take 1/4 splash damage or something.
You knoww, the enemies turrets also die quickly so it's not like youre at a disadvantage :S
It's not so much about being at a disadvantage in the beginning as it is about how there's little to no room for recovery if something goes wrong. They had the same problem with snowball champions in previous seasons: champs get early kill, proceeds to become unstoppable. They significantly nerfed scaling since then and have made it much more difficult to snowball the way you used to be able to. But now your champ may not scale as hard, but one kill can mean knocking out a tower pre-10 minutes, which provides HUGE benefits, like the ability to roam and farm more easily, while eliminating an incredibly important vision-system for the other team and requiring more/better ward coverage to farm safely. It's just not conducive to healthy early gameplay.
Yeah, it'd be nice to not be completely screwed if you make one bad play early game. Played one last night where the enemy lee sin made a great play and had a very nice countergank to get first blood and a kill for his midlaner (against me jungling, was so sad QQ). They took our tower ~5 mins and our top laner just gave up and sat in base. Weird seeing people get so demoralized over a game that should still be winnable (although a little tougher).

Im not even going to bother looking, you're clearly Bronze 5 0 LP based on your utter lack of game knowledge.
It has nothing to do with an advantage for either team, it has to do with preserving the laning phase and the fact that split pushing/back dooring is too strong. If you're losing your turret in the first 6 minutes of a game, its kind of hard to have a laning phase.
There's a reason I like taking teleport as support in Yolo queue now.
While we're at it, can we also buff turret lasers? It's rather disgusting to watch glass cannon Fiora tank inhibitor turrets for 5 seconds and walk away without using ult.

With the stat rework, all champions are way stronger than before. It doesn't seem that way because minions were changed, and all champions were raised equally... but towers weren't changed.
Why I don't top lane anymore, you back at the wrong time , you lose the turret.
well top lane is the easist tower to take
which is the reason i play Heimerdinger top
it allows for an easy tower at level 6 or even earlier, which when its that early the global gold is a very big deal
I feel so sad when I have to back because I'm out of mana and the energy based/ resourceless Champion gets to go ham on my tower! It definitely feels like they go down quicker than they used to. :C
agreed. in most games now, if you have ad top and ad jung, top tower goes down after the first gank. at like level 4-6. they should double turret hp and then they could make pushing champs a thing.
Nah, you're just dying a lot
I like it this way myself.
"laning" is the worst part of the game. You CS and occasionally poke the other guy. Fucking boring.
Now you rip down the tower if you have a lead then go join your team for exciting team fights and roaming.
I actually felt this ever since the new map was implemented, not as much from preseason. I think it has to do with the visual feedback you get as you attack it. You actually feel the tower falling which you didn't before plus the health bar shows the chunk you take it out of it with each hit. The outer tower line is weaker but still they only fall particularly fast with dragon buff or krugs which isn't as dramatic of a change as one would think.
The lasers on the other hand are hit or miss. They are weaker against quick dives but have higher dps for extended time in them plus the slow is annoying. And the shield on the inner turrets acts as an okay buffer to losing the whole lane too quickly.
enemy zed (2 dorans and boots) can destroy 1 tier 2 full hp tower with 1 wave.
