Jinx should be used as a base ground for all marksman from now on RIOT

Jinx is the only marksman in the game that was done 100% right, kit wise anyway. I don't mean balancing as far as numbers and hitboxes etc. go I mean just the general idea of her kit.

A marksman in most games are usually those ranged bastards that pick people off from a distance which grant them the advantage over melee's. Generally the weakness they have is that when they get jumped on they can't really do much. As an added benefit so they have a fighting chance once they ARE jumped on they're usually given some sort of counter measure (or trap)

Let's look at caitlyn (who I love to death i'm not calling broken or anything) who is a BAD design for a marksman.

She has the highest AA range in the game. Generally that means melee champs will be poked down hard before reaching her. Her counter measure being traps is a good idea. Then you have her E. The net that slows and grants a dash (that is allowed to move over terrain) Adding mobility so easy accessible to a champ that already gets FIVE traps is a terrible design standpoint

Then we look at Jinx. Her mobility is based on kill or assist or tower kill/assist. This was a genius idea. It doesn't allow a ranged champ to be stupidly mobile (in general cases) while at the same time granting the ability to move like a marksman would. Her counter measure being chompers only means unless she places them correctly she gets punished.

THAT is how it's suppose to work with Marksman. We aren't suppose to have lucian blasting us before we can reach him then have him dash away 50 times or having Vayne tumble away while pushing us back. That's not how marksman work. Trying to add that to the game just causes balance issues which marksman being the source of terrible balance in the game should show that.

She's like a ranged Yi, but that's just my opinion..

if she didnt have her mobility passive, i might agree. but as it stands, she snowballs way too fast through a fight as soon as only one of your teammates dies.

and shes bloody hard to stick to even if you managed to catch her out once her passive triggers. it usually goes like this: she pokes from the same range as cait with her rockets before a teamfight. the fight erupts. someone else on her team drops someone whos been hit by the aoe portion of the rocket.

she starts to run at supersonic speed, shredding tanks and front liners to pieces wthout any hope of catching up.

its way too easy to trigger by accident off the splash damage on her rockets.

There is something called diversity. If every marksman were similar, the game would be easy to balance yes, but it would remove a shit truck load of complexity to it and dumb down the game as a whole.

Jinx is a late game champion, like Vayne, Twitch and Tristana, she has a weak early game but her late game is amazing. Lucian is a skirmisher, he is great early and mid game but is bad in late game. Caitlyn is a bully, just like Draven, her goal is to bully the other ADC out of the lane so only she can farm. Her late game is okayish.

If the major difference in each marksman didn't exist, it would mean that only a few support champions would go well with them and that would remove a lot of diversity to the support role too when all you'll have are disengage supports to protect their late game Jinx.
